Ch. 34 Reliving the past

Meanwhile, Sora, Ironheart, Chris and Skye all kept watching Yami as he was standing alone in the center of the stone circle after he had just defeated Yugi in their duel.

"Yami's in pretty bad shape down there." Sora said as she looked at her boyfriend with so much worry.

"Of course, there's still a hole in his heart that has yet to be filled." Ironheart nodded in reply, which made Sora heartbroken even more for Yami.

'Poor Yami. He still blames himself for what happened to Yugi.' She thought while looking at Yami sadly, then she saw him falling to his knees as he was weeping so much for Yugi. God, Sora really wished she could go over to Yami and hug him, if it weren't for the spirits having to sense her immediately if she went over to comfort Yami.

"Mark my words, I won't rest until I get you back!" Sora suddenly heard Yami shouting while he looked up at the sky, then she saw him slamming his fists against the ground while letting out a huge grunt and he had more tears coming out of his eyes while he was blaming himself for Yugi's disappearance even more and said that he should have had his soul taken instead of Yugi's.

Seeing Yami blame himself was really hurting Sora so much, and all she could say was, "He's gotta snap out of this. If he keeps wallowing in the past, we'll never find Yugi."

Then she sighed and softly whispered, "Hang in there, Yami."

All of a sudden, there was lightning flashing all around the valley and the ground was shaking, and Sora exclaimed "It's an earthquake!" in fright while she tried holding on to the ground as tight as she could.

"Oh no!" Chris shrieked as she held onto Skye for protection, and Ironheart had his eyes closed as he braced himself as best he could while thinking that the ground shaking was worse than an earthquake.

"Show yourself!" Yami demanded just as he had stood up on his feet, then the ground split open and black vapors rose from the earth just as the sound of a roar was heard!

"I thought so!" Ironheart exclaimed.

"What is it?!" Sora exclaimed, just before she saw that there was a huge soldier figure appearing. He was a grey demon with red eyes, and the Orichalcos appeared on his forehead.

"Who are you?! What is this all about?!" Yami demanded at the soldier, but the soldier didn't answer.

"Not much of a talker, I see." Yami scoffed at the soldier.

"Careful, Pharaoh, this creature is more dangerous than you know." Ironheart warned Yami.

"So you've seen that thing before?" Sora asked Ironheart as she had a bad feeling about the soldier, then she saw the soldier roaring as the chaos duel disk appeared on his wrist while lightning continued to flash and the spirits circled Yami.

"Spirits! What is it you're trying to show me?!" Yami demanded as he looked at the spirits, then he shut his eyes as he put both of his hands on his head. Sora was curious to know what Yami was thinking about, so she quickly took out her Millennium Crown and put it on top of her head to see that Yami was thinking about... the hundreds of soldiers just like the one Yami was facing, then both she and Yami realized that it was the ancient war! Sora even saw that Yami was remembering when Rafael told him about the world being divided into two sides, which was the the pure of heart and those ruled by darkness. Sora even saw that Yami was seeing thousands of Orichalcos Soldiers massing against the other side, and that was an army of Duel Monsters! Then like Yami, she also wondered if this could be how the city of Atlantis was destroyed, and she even saw the ancient warriors who looked exactly like Ironheart and Chris standing with the Duel Monsters!!!
