"Hey Jafhia, do you know where Ms. Manoban is? I haven't seen her all day." Jeremiah asked his older cousin as they walk in the school hallway with Rain.

"She said she won't be here today. I'm not sure if she will be for the rest of the week."

"What happened?" Jeremiah and Rain asked in concern at the same time.

"What are you guys? Twins?" This caused Jeremiah to let out an annoyed sound and Rain to blush. "Anyway, she didn't tell me yet, though."

Jeremiah got worried. The teacher never missed a school day and he surely missed her. His eyebrows furrowed as he thought of a way to see the teacher.

"You could just go to her house, you know." Jafhia spoke again when she saw Jeremiah's furrowed eyebrows.

"How did you-?" Jeremiah was cut off.

"Know? You're quite easy to read, Miah Mia." Jafhia commented as they reached the school gate, sending a wink her cousins way.

"When will you stop calling me that stupid nickname? I'm an adult now, in case you didn't notice."

"Okay. So, are you going?" Jafhia ignored the young man's statement.

"I don't know. I don't think it would be appropriate." Jeremiah said, looking at Rain for her opinion. She always seemed to give logical advice. Unfortunately, the latter just shrugged her shoulders.

"Suit yourself." Jafhia replied as she started walking away from the two.

"Aren't you going to convince me?" Jeremiah asked, irritated.

"And why would I do that?" Jafhia stopped in her tracks.

"Because, you like us for each other, my crazy cousin. You should do whatever you can to get us together."

"Maybe. But if you don't want to do this for yourself, who am I to force you?"

"Fine! I'll go." Jeremiah glared at Jisoo. "Bye Rain. I'll see you tomorrow." He gave the said girl a hug. "Be careful with that one." Jeremiah said while looking at Jafhia.

"Don't worry I will."

Jeremiah went down the street and headed to the teacher's house.

"That is how you get Jeremiah Kim to do something. Wait, how does he know where she lives?" After a moment of thinking, Jafhia asked Rain.

"Only God knows, Ms. Kim. Only God knows." The teacher nodded her head.

"So, where are you heading?"

Meanwhile...

Jeremiah walked down the street, wondering what excuse he would tell the teacher for showing up to her house. Before he knew it, he was already ringing the teacher's doorbell.

The teacher was eating chocolate on her couch with red, swollen eyes when she heard the doorbell ring.

'Who could that be? Maybe it's Jafhia,' She thought as she walked to the door, not bothering to fix the way she look, and opened it.

"Jeremiah?" Lisa was pleasantly surprised and confused. "What are you doing here?"

"I came to see you." The teacher smiled and invited the student in, while combing her fingers through her hair, trying to fix it.

"Is there anything you wanted to talk about?" They were now sitting on the couch. Ms. Manoban went back to eating her chocolate and offered Jeremiah a piece.

"Well... You didn't come to school today and that is unlike you. So I thought I would come by to check on you." The teacher nodded. An awkward silence took over. The teacher was contemplating whether to tell her student or not.

"We broke up." She told Jeremiah after a while. "Turns out he really didn't want the baby." She turned to look at the young man straight in his eyes. "You already knew didn't you?" Jeremiah nodded sympathetically at the question.  The teacher looked down as tears pooled her eyes. "I guess I was only trying to convince myself." Silence enveloped them once again.

Finally gaining the confidence, Lisa looked back up, only to find Jeremiah looking back at her. Not realising it, they both had started leaning toward each other. Their lips ghosted each other until they finally touched in a kiss, which lasted for about a minute before Lisa pulled back swiftly.

"We shouldn't do this." She said. They looked at each other for a while until the teacher claimed Jeremiah's lips once again.
