Jeremiah

"Thank you, Jeremiah." Lisa said as she tucked a lock of hair behind her ear.

"For what?" I asked confused.

"This morning." She smiled sweetly at me while giving my hand a light squeeze.

"You're welcome, Lili." I gave her a quick kiss.

We are currently at the beach near the hotel. The beautiful lady in front of me is wearing her yellow bathing suit that we bought earlier today that makes her look more beautiful than ever, especially with the sun glistening on her skin.

Lisa was still feeling a bit shy as she continued to move her hands to cover different parts of her body. People were passing around and that's probably why.

"Lili, you want to go in the water?" I tugged her hands away.

"Yeah. Sure," she nodded.

"Okay. Put your foot in first to see if it's too cold for you." Lisa walked forward and stretched out her right foot to the approaching water before looking back at me with a smile.

"It's good, Jerry."

"Great! Let's go in." We walked further out into the ocean until the water was at the height of our shoulders.

"I haven't been in so much water for a long time." She told me as the water lightly floated our bodies.

"You like it?" I asked her while pulling her close.

"Yes, I do. The water is so calm today."

"Maybe it was expecting you," we both laughed.

"I don't think I can be any Moana in this state. That's another thing I like about the ocean today. It makes me feel like I'm not actually weighing one hundred forty pounds." Lisa rolled her eyes after speaking.

"Well, I've got to say it. You're the most good looking one hundred forty pounds woman I've ever seen."

"Jerry, you're so silly." My girlfriend chuckled melodically which made me melt like I was in lava instead of water.

Lisa paddled backwards with her hands then kicked up her feet, splashing me in the process.

"You did not!" I gasped with a mischievous smile.

"Are you really going to do that, Jeremiah?" Lisa took a few back strokes as I moved closer to her. "To your own girlfriend?" She tried to persuade me. "To your pregnant girlfriend?"

I swam closer as Lisa moved further away to the other end of the beach. She turned around and swam as best as she could with her growing bump.

"You can't get away from me." I swam slower than I usually do to keep a distance between us but fast enough to make it look real. I don't want the poor thing to sulk because I have a greater advantage than her.

I sped up my pace as Lisa laughed, clearly enjoying the chase. Not long after, I caught her with a back hug as the ocean water continued to gently move around us.

"Where do you think you're going, pretty lady?" Lisa said nothing as she carried on laughing.

I spun Lisa around by the waist, making her turn to face me. She hooked her arms around my neck before giving me a kiss.

"That was fun, Jerry. Let's do it again." She looked me in the eyes with a cute smile.

"Maybe we should come back another time, Lili. We have been in the water for a while now and your pores are starting to raise."

"But I'm not cold though." My beautiful girlfriend protested, but right then, the wind blew which caused her to shiver with a blush.

"Let's go, Lili. I don't want you to catch a cold or something." I said to the red faced Lisa.

"Fine." Lisa sighed in defeat before walking ahead of me since the water wasn't that high. When we reached the beach chair with our belongings, I wrapped the matching bathing suit cover up around Lisa and a dry towel around myself.

Lisa pulled me closer as a group of girls stared our way. I held her hand and we walked silently back to our suite.

Third Person POV

Jeremiah woke up early the next morning, around 2:00am, to the sound of his partner's voice.

"Thank you, Anna." Lisa said quietly to the person on the other line, trying not to wake the man, whom she thought was still asleep, before hanging up the phone from the room.

"Lili?" Jeremiah decided to call his woman, whose back was facing him.

"Jerry. Did I wake you?" The woman panicked as she turned around to look at her boyfriend. Jeremiah shook his head.

"Why are you up so early?" Jeremiah asked curiously.

"My cravings again." He nodded understandingly at Lisa's reply. But as far as he knew, room service ended at 12:00am so he was wondering how Lisa was getting this.

Before the young man's thoughts could go further, there was a knock on the door followed by a faint "Room service." Jeremiah quickly got up to save Lisa the trouble of having to do it herself. He came back with a tray filled with a tub of ice cream and a few plates covered with silver lids.

"Thank you." Lisa said with a soft smile before raising the lids. Her face lit up instantly. Jeremiah grimaced as Lisa started to eat.

The first item was little cookie sandwiches that were filled with cheese. Next there was a doughnut covered completely in ketchup and mustard. And last but not least, a plate of bacon, the only decent thing there.

Upon seeing the look on Jeremiah's face, Lisa stopped eating and spoke.

"Sorry. I don't want to eat this much but the baby is making me really hungry." She avoided eye contact and ate slowly as a lump formed in her throat, making it harder for her to eat. Jeremiah's expression made her feel sad and embarrassed.

"No, no, no! That's not it." Jeremiah realised that Lisa misunderstood him. "It's not you, Lili. The food combinations just caught me off guard." He made a face again.

"Oh." Lisa gave Jeremiah a sheepish smile. "Well, you should try it. It's really good."

"Thanks, but I'd like to keep my stomach in check." Lisa laughed at his words.

"Just try one before you go judging them, Jeremiah." Lisa picked up one of the cookies and cheese sandwiches before placing it in front of Jeremiah, who reluctantly took a bite. "So?" She asked after he swallowed.

"It's edible. But I wouldn't go around eating these, much less ordering them. And the doughnuts with ketchup and mustard, come on. I would never even think of trying that."

"Hey. Don't disrespect my food choices. These are yummy." Lisa went back to eating.

Jeremiah stretched out a hand to take a strip of bacon but it was slapped away by the teacher.

"Don't touch that. It's for my ice cream." Lisa said with a full mouth. She tore the bacon into little pieces before tossing it on top of her ice cream. When her mouth was empty again, she dug into the ice cream. "Mmmm. Now this is delicious. You've gotta try it."

Jeremiah took the spoon from the woman's hand before dipping it into the ice cream. The combination didn't sound so bad to him.

"It's good," he shrugged. "The saltiness of the bacon really compliments the flavour of the ice cream." He approved.

"I know, right." Lisa agreed before turning her attention back to the food in front of her.
