Lisa

I placed one hand on my belly and the other on the rail as I walked down the stairs. My purple dress hugged my stomach before flowing freely to below my knees. I felt really pretty in it.

"I forgot my purse." I stopped suddenly on the last step with a sigh. "I hate these stupid stairs," I said as I turned to walk back up.

"Then let me be your errand boy." Jeremiah stopped me.

"Thank you, Jerry." I placed a kiss on his cheek before he ran up to get my purse. By the time he was back downstairs, I was in the kitchen, head in the fridge as I searched for something to eat. I raised up with the jar of pickles we bought yesterday as Jeremiah made his presence known.

"How is my food monster doing?" I looked back at him, pickle in my mouth.

"I'm hungry," I whined with a pout. He chuckled and walked towards me before wrapping his arms around my waist.

"I can see that. Don't worry, Lili. They will give you food at the party." He looked at his watch. "Which is about to start soon so I suggest you put that pickle down before you're late."

"Just a moment. I'm almost done." He shook his head at me and walked out. To where? I had no idea. I quickly ate my pickle then went out the house, seeing as my things were not in the living room where I left them. Jeremiah had taken my gift and purse to the car. "See?" I said proudly as I had proved him wrong. I was able to eat my pickle in record time, and we weren't late.

We were soon on the road to Dr. Morris' house for her daughter's birthday party. In no time, Jeremiah stopped the car at the front yard. Since it was a child's party, I wasn't planning on staying for too long. I just wanted to see Lidya.

"I'll be back soon. Call me when you're ready," Jerry said when I stepped out.

"Are you sure you don't want to come in?"

"Lisa, I wasn't invited. I don't even know the girl."

"Okay." I gave him a kiss through the window before walking away.

"Lisa!" The front door opened before I could make it onto the porch. Lidya came out running towards me with great speed.

"Be careful!" Mrs. Morris said alarmingly. Lidya immediately stopped when she heard her mother. She looked shockingly at my huge belly and I had to laugh.

"I'm sorry, Lisa. I could have hurt you and the baby." She looked down.

"It's okay, Lid. Nothing happened." I held my arms open for her but she was reluctant. "Can I get that hug Lidya?" She smiled before allowing me to envelope her in my arms.

"I missed you, Lisa. Why didn't you come visit me?"

"Oh Baby. I just had a lot going on. See? Lisa's having a baby." She hovered her hand over my belly with hesitance. "You can touch it," I said while placing her hand on my stomach.

"It's so big," she said with wide eyes. I laughed at what she said.

"Yeah. And it's going to get bigger. Let's go in now, okay? We can't keep your guests waiting." Lidya nodded her head and held my hand, leading me into the house.

Third Person POV

Two days later, Jeremiah and Lisa could be spotted at 'Baby Cuddles' shopping for clothes for their coming baby. The two were dressed alike in hoodies and sweatpants.

"What's next on the list?"

"Bottles," Lisa replied before looking at the long list of things. "Jerry, we should have really started our shopping a long time ago. There is so much to buy. I feel so unprepared for this. It feels like time is just running past me." Lisa said in a panicked tone.
