The next day when Jeremiah arrived at the university, he saw Ms. Manoban walking too.

"Ms. Manoban!" He called out as he ran to the woman. "Good Morning." Jeremiah said once he was near Lisa.

"Good Morning, Jeremiah. It's nice to see you in the morning." Noticing the the pink tint on the student's cheek, Lisa mentally cursed herself for the slip. She always had a problem with thinking out loud. "So, I had fun yesterday." She tried to change the topic

"Me too. Oh. By the way, what happe-" Jeremiah stopped halfway through his question as the bell rang. "I guess I have to go now. I might stop by at your class this afternoon, after school."

"Are you sure? I don't want to cause any inconvenience." The teacher knew that Jeremiah had art class on Tuesdays in the afternoon. The building was situated farther from her own so Lisa knew Jeremiah would have to pass through a crowd, which the young man always disliked.

"Of course I'm sure. You're not an inconvenience to me." Jeremiah said those words with so much sincerity that Ms. Manoban's knees started to go weak.

"Well if you feel so inclined to do it then I guess I'll see you after school." Lisa said, trying to ignore the feeling in her stomach, which certainly wasn't because of the baby. The said their goodbyes then went separate ways.

Lisa was actually very relieved that Jeremiah didn't get to ask his question but she knew that he would, after school.

When lunchtime came, the teacher headed to the staff room to hang out with her bestfriend.

"You're glowing." Jafhia commented when she saw her friend.

"Really? Thank you." Lisa beamed.

"What caused that? Is it Jeremiah again?" The other teacher asked curiously.

"Oh my gosh. Could you be any louder?" Lisa asked as other teachers started looking at their direction. "And, he is a student, and your cousin. Don't you find it a bit weird, not forgetting inappropriate?"

"You're both human."

"Maybe it's Jonathan that is making me glow like this." Jafhia looked at Lisa with a straight face before scrunching it up.

"Nah."  Lisa let out an exasperated sigh. "Well, anyway, what is it?" Jafhia asked as she popped a chip into her mouth.

"Well..." The teacher paused as she looked down to her stomach. She rubbed the little bump that could be mistaken as nothing.

"Oh. Wow. What did Jonathan say?"

"You don't sound happy about this." Lisa said as her smile dropped.

"Sorry." Jafhia gave her a hug. "I know how much you always wanted to have a baby, so I am happy for you." She pulled ot from the hug. "But I don't like that guy for you, Lisa. Now, tell me, how did he react to this?" At this, Lisa bowed her head.

"Well, he was shocked, you know?"

"Lisa, you really need to stop making excuses for that guy."

"Jafhia, just stop. I don't want to talk about this anymore." Lisa replied as tears started to fill her eyes.

"Ok. I just want the best for you, okay? I'm here for you and I love you." She caressed her friend's back.

"Thank you. I love you too."

After lunch, everything just went by as a blur for both Jeremiah and Lisa. They couldn't wait for this afternoon. But both were a little anxious, for different reasons.

As Jeremiah got out from art class, he grimaced at the amount of students in the hallway. He struggled through the groups of young adults as he made his way to Ms. Manoban's classroom. A victorious smile was placed on his face when he reached outside the door of the teacher's classroom.

When he opened the door, the view of the teacher looking out the window greeted him. Jeremiah slowly walked to the teacher's desk, planning to surprise her. However, he stopped in his tracks at the sound of a sniff. It came from the teacher.

"Ms. Manoban." Jeremiah called out as he neared the teacher. Lisa quickly wiped away her tears, put on the brightest smile she could muster, then turned to face the student.

"Hello Jeremiah." The student saw right through the woman because he could already see the swollen, red eyes. An idea popped into his head.

"I know a great placed we could go to."
