"Do you want to take this with you, Lili?" Jeremiah asked as he raised my yellow shirt. We are currently in my room packing my bags for my to visit to my father.
"No. It can't fit me anymore." 'Darn it.' That's my favourite shirt, and I can't even wear it. 'Sad life.'
"Then how about this. It looks bigger than that one." I walked from the bag I was packing to give Jeremiah a peck on the lips. I find myself always wanting to feel them against mine.
"I guess so." I pulled away to look at his face. "I really need to buy maternity clothes because I'm running out of things to wear." My thumb brushed his cheeks.
"When do you plan on buying them, Lili?" Jeremiah asked. He wrapped his arms around me, holding me close.
"When I'm at my mom's? Or maybe when I come back because I don't know how long it will take for her to speak to me again."
"I hope you guys make up. I'm sorry I'm the one who caused problems between you two." Jeremiah looked down as he apologized. I lifted his chin with my index finger.
"There is no need to be sorry, Jerry. You did nothing wrong. I just hope my mother could realise that we love each other and that we did nothing wrong. At least not you."
"Neither did you, Lili." My Jerry leaned his forehead against mine.
"Can we take a little walk today? I've been feeling a little too cooped up in the house lately. I need to stretch my legs for a bit." I looked into his eyes while speaking to him.
"Yeah. Of course. You grab what you need and I'll go full some water for us, alright?" He said while walking out my bedroom.
"Alright." I put on a sweater since the temperature tends to get a bit cold at this time of the day. I picked up the comfy boots nearby my bed and then walked downstairs with them in my hands. When I reached to the bottom of the staircase, I turned in every way I could trying to put on the boots that just didn't seem like it was planning to go on. In the midst of my struggle when I let out a groan of frustration, Jeremiah walked into the living room from the kitchen.
"What's wrong, Lili?" He asked .
"I can't put on my shoes," I whined. Jeremiah immediately walked over to my direction then stooped down in front of me .
"Why didn't you call me?" He placed the boots right in front of me then I forced feet into both of them.
"You were doing something in the kitchen. I didn't want to bother you." I looked down at him even though he was looking wasn't looking at me with his attention placed fully on tying my laces.
"Next time, just tell me and I'll do it." Jeremiah instructed me.
"But what if you're not around? I need to get used to it." I argued. He stood up when he was finished with both sides.
"Then just call me whenever I'm here. Okay?" Jeremiah continued.
"Okay."
"Good." He held my hand and we walked out of the house and into the fresh air before taking a stroll on the side of the road. At first, we walked in comfortable silence, holding each others' hand, until Jeremiah decided to talk.
"So? Two more days, huh?" Jeremiah rhetorically asked. "I'm going to miss you so much, Lili."
"I'll miss you, too." As I was getting closer to him, I saw a boy from one of my classes. "Look." I nodded in his direction as he was about six feet away. Confused, Jeremiah still complied.
"Good day, Ms. Manoban." Reuben greeted as he neared us. "Jeremiah." He gave my boyfriend a weird look.
"Good day. How is your holiday so far?" I created a conversation.
