"So, I was thinking we should go get you a bathing suit." Jeremiah told me an hour after we had our breakfast.
I was in the bathroom bathing when he said that.
"And why would you think that?" I asked as I wiped along my belly.
"Because we're close to a beach right now and we've never even been in the water until now. What sense does that make?"
"There is no need for me to get one, Jeremiah," I told him.
"Yes there is. You may not be able to do this later in your pregnancy so you should enjoy these moments while you're still able to move around with your bump." Jeremiah argued.
"It makes no sense, Jerry. It's not like I'm going to wear it again anyway," I said after coming out from the bathroom already dressed. I went to sit on the bed. "I'm gonna be too big at the end of my pregnancy to wear it and when I do lose weight it's gonna be big for me."
"How can you be so sure you won't wear it again?" Jeremiah smirked as he placed his hand on my belly, clearly throwing hints. I shook my head at his teasing with a smile gracing my lips. "Come on, Lili. Let's go. I saw a store when we were coming to the hotel. I'm sure they sell bathing suits there since they are so close to the beach. It's about three minutes from here, by car."
"Okay. Okay. Fine. I'll go. Would you stop pestering me now?" I surrendered, knowing Jeremiah won't change his mind.
"Yes I will!" He replied. "Let's go now, Lili." Jeremiah held my hand and helped me off the bed.
"Wait. I have to go and pee first. I feel like I'm going to burst." I kissed his lips before going to the bathroom. "Little bump, you're not so little anymore." I talked to the baby as I sat down. "Weren't we just in here about twenty minutes ago?" I furrowed my eyebrows in question.
After I was done with my business, I washed my hands and went out to Jeremiah after grabbing a few liners. We took the elevator and were down in no time.
"Do you want to walk or use the car, Lili?" Jeremiah asked as we walked out of the hotel's entrance.
"Walk. It's a beautiful day."
"Okay." He kissed my cheeks before smiling warmly at me as he held my hand.
As we continued walking to the store that wasn't so far away, according to Jeremiah, we saw a little girl riding her tricycle while her parents were cheering her on.
"Oh my gosh. Look at how cute she is, Jerry." I gushed over the little girl who had two big puffs in her hair.
"Yeah, but I'm sure Baby Lisa is much cuter," he replied.
"You haven't even seen him or her yet."
"Trust me, she is. With a mother like you, only the most adorable babies can be made."
"Oh my gosh. Are you still with this girl thing? What if it's a boy? I don't want him to feel offended or anything." I looked down at my fifteen week old pregnant belly.
"Well, he won't have the chance to be because it's a girl." Jeremiah stubbornly said as we entered the store. "Hello. We're looking for bathing suits." He told the woman at the counter.
"Right this way, Sir." We followed her to wherever she was leading us. "We have the men's and women's section over here."
"Oh. It's not for me, just for her." He answered and pointed at me. "Come on, Lili. You're the woman here. Choose what you want."
We walked around with the sales woman following us. I know she's there to help us but it makes me uncomfortable when they follow you like that. As I was in deep thought, a pink and purple tie dye bathing suit caught my eye.
