"Do you have everything?" I asked Jeremiah as we packed our things in the car. Time flew by so quickly and now we're going on our vacation.

"Yes, Lili. I've got everything." He replied, giving me a kiss on the cheek.

"Okay. Then let's go!" I rounded the car and sat in the driver's seat. "Seat belts on." We both buckled up and I drove off.

"Where are we going? I forgot to ask."

"It's a surprise." I glanced quickly at him, grinning.

I haven't been anywhere for summer vacation in the longest while and that's why I'm so excited. And with Jeremiah there, it will be a lot better.

"But I don't like waiting for surprises. They take too long." Jeremiah whined.

"You weren't saying that when you had me deep in thought the other day," I said.

"That's different," he replied.

"How?"

"I was the one doing the surprised."

"Estúpido. Well, sorry, Jerry, but you'll just have to wait and see." He groaned in response.

The drive went on and we chatted happily, engaging in idle conversations. Two hours passed us and Jeremiah took over the wheel. Before I knew it, I fell asleep.

............

"Lili? Lili." I felt Jeremiah kissing my lips, trying to wake me up. Of course, I responded immediately, holding his cheeks to deepen the kiss.

"That was nice." I said dreamily, looking at Jennie in a daze.

"Yeah." He continued, "You have to give me the rest of the directions."

"Let me take over." As I reached out to unbuckle my seatbelt, Jeremiah held my hand.

"Or, you could just tell me where to go."

"But it would ruin the surprise. " I argued.

"Lalisa Manoban, just give me the directions." Jeremiah started the car, not allowing me to argue again.

"Fine." Sighing defeatedly, I crossed my arms, and looked out the window, telling him where to go.

We drove in silence as I refused to talk, only occasionally instructing Jerry along the way.

"We're here." Jeremiah announced. "Wow. How rich are you, Lili?" He joked as he admired the twenty story building in front of us. "And the beach looks so beautiful." The car came to a stop at the entrance of the hotel.

Ignoring him, I stepped out of the car, allowing the hotel staff to bring our luggage inside. I walked through the huge lobby and went to the receptionist area.

"Ms. Manoban, your suite is ready." The receptionist smiled sweetly at me and he then guided me to the elevator.

"Thank you." I walked into the elevator with Jeremiah running behind, leaving the waving receptionist outside.

"What's up with you and receptionists, Lisa?" Jeremiah asked as the door closed. I kept quiet, not sparing him a single glance.

By the time we reached the double bed room, our bags were already there. 'They have always been the best here.' I walked out to the balcony and looked out at the ocean. I took a deep breath, feeling the summer breeze blow across my face.

"Look at this room. And the beds." I heard him him exclaim and footsteps soon followed.

"It's so beautiful, Lili. I want to treat you to something even more majestic in the future." Jeremiah back hugged me, resting his hand gently on my belly as he rubbed it. "Why are you so quiet?" He questioned. Still not talking to him, I admired the view in front of me.

"Come on, Lili. What's wrong?" Jeremiah turned me around to face him."

"Look at you. You don't even know what's wrong with your own girlfriend."

"Babyyyy." He dragged out.

"Don't call me baby." I rolled my eyes at him.

"Come on, Lili."

"Do you really want to know what's wrong?" I asked with a glare on my face. He nodded hesitantly. "Here I was, preparing a nice little surprise for my boyfriend. I planned for you to close your eyes until I showed you the view of the beach. I planned to surprise you with our suite and with the hotel. But noooooooo, you can't wait, can you? You just had to ruin it because you're Mr. Nosey." I poked his nose with each word.

"Lili. I'm sorry, okay?" He brushed my hair with his fingers. "I didn't mean to upset you but I didn't think it would be a big deal. But I was wrong, because you were so excited and I did ruin it because now you're upset. And I don't like when you're upset. I'm sorry." There was silence.

"You don't have to apologize." I sighed after a slight pause. "I over reacted for such a small thing. It's probably my hormones acting up again. So, I'm sorry." I looked down in shame as the wind blew my hair.

"No you're right, Lili." Jerry lifted my chin up to look at him. "And even though I apologized, I'm going to do everything you want me to do for the rest of our stay here to make up for it."

"Really?!" He nodded. "Good good good." I gave him a peck. "Now, do you want to get something to eat or just go down to the beach or take a nap?"

"Maybe we should take a nap." Jeremiah took my hand and led me to my bed.

"Are you saying that because you want to sleep or because you think that I want to sleep? If it's the latter, then I don't want to sleep." By now, he was already forcing me to lie down. He massaged my head, knowing it was my weakness.

"Are you sure you don't want to sleep?" Jeremiah gave me warm smile. My head was now on the pillow. The softness slowly engulfed me like I was in a cloud. I was so caught up in the moment that it took a long time for me to reply. And when I did, it sounded so drowsy, like I'm sleep deprived.

"Of course I'm su-."
