"Where is he?" The teacher asked herself as she sat at her desk. She had met up with Jeremiah earlier but they didn't have enough time, so they decided to have lunch together, which is supposed to be now.

Lisa got up and went to the door of the classroom. She opened it and peeped out, only to regret. There he was, the man she was waiting, talking to someone. Of course, it was no other than Donna. Ms. Manoban made eye contact with Jeremiah just before she slammed the door shut.

Angrily, she walked to the desk and sat down. Lisa took out the lunch she brought from her bag and began eating immediately, forcefully pushing a piece of tomato into her mouth. Not too long after, a certain young man showed up and sat opposite her with his lunch after pulling out a chair.

"Hey. Sorry I'm late." The young man said first. The woman said nothing as she looked straight to the burger in front of her. Seeing this, the Jeremiah spoke again. "Lili? Is something wrong?" Lisa looked up at this moment.

"Is something wrong? Is something wrong?! I don't know. Why don't you tell me if something is wrong?" She pushed away the bowl in front of her.

"Lisa, what's happening right now?" Jeremiah looked at her confused.

"What's happening right now? Maybe you should tell me what's happening right now." She folded her hands and stared right at him.

"Lisa. Just tell me what's wrong. Why do you seem so angry?"

"I don't seem angry. I am angry!" Ms. Manoban stood up and slammed her hands on the table. Jeremiah immediately got up too and placed a comforting hand on her shoulder.

"Please, tell me what it is that made you angry. Is it because I came late? If it is, I really am sorry."

"It's not just that, Jeremiah."

"Then what?" He asked softly as he looked at her questioningly.

"Not only were you late, but while I was in here starving, you were out there chatting with that one Deandra." She stared at him in accusation.

"You mean Donna?"

"I don't care what her name is!" Lisa shouted in frustration as she hit his chest, tear drops escaping her eyes.

"Alright. Alright. Listen Lili. We were actually discussing an assignment we have to do together."

"And you didn't even have the manners to at least tell me so I wouldn't be waiting here in hunger like a fool?"

"You're right. I should have told you. And I'm sorry for that. Now please calm down. You shouldn't be stressed out." He rubbed her back gently.

"Well, I wouldn't be stressed out if it weren't for you."

"That's true. Let's eat, okay? You said you're hungry, right?" Jeremiah made sure to take all the blame.

"Not anymore. I've lost my appetite." She sat back down, prompting Jeremiah to do the same.

"You should eat, Li-"

"Don't tell me what to do." She grabbed the bowl she pushed away earlier and started eating again. The young man laughed quietly. He also took out his lunch and said a prayer before eating too.

"I'm sorry about earlier. I won't do it again. Forgive me?"

"Forgiven." The teacher said with a smile before planting a kiss on his cheek. The way her mood switched sometimes scared Jeremiah.

"Thank you." And just like that, the two close 'may be friends' made up.
...........

After the two finished eating, they packed up and talked for a while before their next class began.

"So I was thinking, one of us should switch classes." Lisa said first.

"Huh? Why?" Jeremiah asked.

"Well, sooner or later, people are gonna start realizing our relationship. I am closer to you than my other students so they are going to get suspicious."

"And you don't want that?"

"No. That's not it. When you get good grades, people might assume I'm cheating for you. That's why teacher's aren't supposed to have favourite students, because the others might get jealous and think it's unfair to them when they're the ones that are just not doing good." Lisa laughed after she explained. Jeremiah nodded his head. "And there are some teachers who do that too."

"Oh. I understand." Jeremiah thought it over. "So I'm your favourite student, huh?"

"I never said that." The teacher looked around the classroom and avoided the student's eyes.

"Yeah. If you say so." The two laughed.

"So should I switch with another teacher or do you want to go to Mr. Damascus' class?" Lisa asked when their laughter died down.

"I think I should be the one to leave. If you go, there will be many students in heart ache. And I don't want anyone attacking me." Lisa chuckled at his words.

The bell rang about twenty minutes after and the two had to part ways.
