Lisa

It's been about two weeks since the 'incident' with Jeremiah and I feel like I made the wrong decision. Every time I see him with a girl, I just get angry, especially when he's with that one named Donna.

'Is he seriously over me already?' I sat at my desk in deep thought. 'And it's only been a few days since he confessed his so called love for me. That liar.' I furrowed my eyebrows angrily. 'He doesn't even come to talk to me like he used to.'

Well what do you expect Lisa? You're the one that rejected him.  My subconscious told me.

'Shut up! And so what? That doesn't mean he should move on already.' At my last thought, students started walking into class, greeting me with a smile. When the bell rang, everyone was already seated, including a certain someone.

Third Person POV

"Jeremiah, please stay back." Lisa told the young man at the end of the class. He nodded his head with an "Okay" as the other students left. When the last student was out the door, Jeremiah picked up his bag and walked to her desk, just like he used to.

"Yes Ms. Manoban?"

"I just wanted to tell you that you're really improving in class." It was stupid, but that was the only thing Lisa could come up with at the time.

"Oh, I think you told me that before actually." Lisa sat in her seat ashamed, mentally scolding herself for not thinking of something better. "Is that all Ms. Manoban?"

"About the other day-" The teacher was cut off by the student before she could finish.

"Before you say anything, I just want to know something." Lisa gestured for him to go on. "Do you feel the way I do? Do you feel butterflies in your stomach whenever you see me? Do you suddenly start thinking of me in different situations? Do you even regret kissing me?" Jeremiah bombarded the teacher with questions as he walked closer to her and continued. "Tell me you don't feel the same and I won't bother you after that. It's just been on my mind lately."

"I... d-" Lisa stammered. "I don't want you to stop bothering me. In fact, I want to see you all the time." She got a bit teary eyed. "I missed you and you don't even come talk to me nowadays." Jeremiah enveloped her in his arms.

"I'm sorry about that. I just thought you didn't want to have any interaction with me anymore."

"Well, I do." Lisa raised her head to look at Jeremiah.

"I love you, Lalisa Manoban." The student said and it felt so good to say it. Lisa smiled shyly, but it soon faded.

"I know, but I don't think my feelings are that strong for you. I just really, really like you."

"And that's good enough for me. I'm not going to rush you or anything." Jeremiah paused as he thought about something. "How about this? We can just take things slow. We don't even have to be in that kind of relationship right now. Let's just get to know each other."

"I'm sorry that I'm so problematic and can't give you the relationship you deserve. But I promise to give you my best."

"Nothing but it, right?" Lisa nodded. "Everything will happen in God's timing."

"Are you sure you want to do this? I'm seriously going to have so many mood swings soon. Then the baby. Can you handle me having a child? Not only-"

"I still want to do this." Jeremiah interrupted, holding Lisa's hands. "I want you, which means that I want everything that comes with you." The teacher's heart swelled. She was about to say something when Jeremiah shushed her. "Let's do this."

"Jere-."

"Lisa please-."

"Would you let me speak now?" The student smiled sheepishly, mumbling "Sorry," embarrassed. Lisa smiled at him, then turned serious. "Now as I was saying, let's do it. You know, hangout and stuff like that."

"Great! I'm gonna woo you so good, you wouldn't even know what 'no' means." Jeremiah said with a broad smile, making Ms. Manoban smile as well.

"Thank you. I've got a lot of things on my shoulders right now and I don't want to rush into anything." She said.

"I know Lili, that's why I'll wait for you. I'm sure it will be worth it in the end." He said sincerely as Lisa's eyes filled with tears. 'Damn hormones again.' Jeremiah immediately gave her a hug.

"Did you just give me a nickname?" Lisa asked after a moment of silence.

"Uhm... I actually made it a long time ago. Sorry. I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable."

"No, I like it." She told him honestly.

"Really?" Lisa nodded.

"Yeah. It's adorable." She then continued. "Do you have to go straight home now? I was thinking maybe I could cook dinner for us."

"Sure. Who am I to pass up such a honour?" The teacher packed up her things with the help of Jeremiah who chatted with her as they did so. Not long after, the two were walking out of the educational institution together.
