"I can't believe you're leaving tomorrow." Jeremiah said as he and Lisa sat on the couch. "And I haven't even talked to Baby Lili yet."
"Well, no one is stopping you from talking to them either," Lisa replied.
Hearing that, Jeremiah laid his head on Lisa's lap and faced her belly. He actually has to be at the end that is more to Lisa's knee because her bump is taking up more space as time passes. It's a bit uncomfortable but he doesn't care.
"Hey Baby Lili." The young man greeted with a soothing voice. "You know, when I call you that it reminds of my mother. Lilies are her favourite flowers. And I love them too because of her. I guess you know what that means," he continued. "I want you to take good care of your Mommy for Jerry until you get back, okay? Don't cause any trouble while you're away or I'll have to have a word with you when you get back, understood?"
Lisa enjoyed moments like this where Jeremiah and her sat comfortably, especially when Jeremiah was being sweet to her. But these moments also had a reaction on her body. She put her right hand in Jeremiah's hair and caressed his scalp as she listened to the man's words, while her other hand was placed gently on top of her almost eighteen weeks bump.
Jeremiah talked to the babies for a few more minutes before sitting back up on the couch. When he looked back at Lisa, the teacher's pupils were full blown and black. Lisa immediately attached her lips to Jeremiah's. It was welcomed at first but as things started getting intense, Jeremiah leaned back.
"Lili," he called her name softly. Lisa hesitantly pulled away from him.
"Sorry, I got carried away." Lisa diverted her eyes from his direction.
"It's alright. You okay?" Jeremiah tilted her chin up with his index finger.
"Yeah. I'm fine." Jeremiah was able to catch a glimpse of water streaming down Lisa's face before the woman got up and walked to the kitchen. She took out a glass from the cabinet before pouring some cold water from the fridge into it. Just as she emptied the glass, Jeremiah walked into the room. Jeremiah wrapped his arms around Lisa and placed his hands on her stomach. He looked at her side profile before speaking.
"Talk to me, Lili. What's wrong?" Jeremiah questioned.
"I'm just tired." Lisa ran her hand across her face.
"You want to go lie down?" Jeremiah asked even though he had a feeling that wasn't what she meant. .
"No," Lisa replied with a sigh.
"Then let's talk." Lisa braced back on Jeremiah's chest to take some of the baby's weight off of her body. The two stayed silent for a while.
"It just hurts a lot. I mean, I understand why you're doing it, or more like not doing it, but my hormones sure don't." And just like that, the tears start flowing. "I need you so bad right now. I feel like I'm just going to explode if I don't get a release." Quickly, sobs escaped her mouth. Right away, Jeremiah's face turned serious.
"Okay, okay Lili. Don't cry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry I can't help you. If only I could..." He panicked, speaking frantically, as he turned her around and wiped away the tears that seemed to endlessly flow down the woman's face.
"It's alright. I just... Sorry that I went off like that." With the way she was crying right now, you would think someone had died. "I haven't been with anyone for a few months, so it's very frustrating, especially with me being pregnant and my hormones being all over the place," Lisa replied as she leaned against the fridge.
"Have you thought about what I told you?"
"Yeah. But I don't want you to think I'm doing it just to fulfill my own desires."
"Is that why you would marry me?"
"No! Of course not," Lisa exclaimed. "How could you even ask that?"
"Well, I don't think you would do it for that either, so...." Jeremiah paused. "Do you want to give your life to Jesus?"
"Yes, I do," Lisa admitted.
"Good, cause that's the first step." He placed a gentle kiss on her temple before giving her a cute smile that would make any girl blush.
