"Good morning, Sleepyhead." Jeremiah said as he saw his girlfriend stir from his own bed.

"Good morning." Lisa replied after a yawn. When she looked down at herself, she was surprised. "Where is the sweater I had on last night?" Jeremiah got up and sat next to Lisa.

"You took it off before you slept because you said you were feeling hot. Then you passed out right after. You were extremely tired. Can't you remember?"

"No." The older woman replied after racking her brain.

"I think you have pregnancy brain, Lili." Jeremiah chuckled.

"What brain?"

"Pregnancy brain. It's when you have memory loss and can't focus on things when you're pregnant."

"You did your research?" The young man nodded. "Aww. I love you so much, Jerry."

"I love you too, Lili." Jeremiah whispered before stealing a kiss from his girlfriend. He lowered himself on the bed and faced Lisa's belly. "I love you too, Baby Lisa. And I'm still going to talk to you. I don't care what they say. I know you can hear me." He rubbed the bump gently. "You know what? I really think you're a girl. Are you going to tell Jerry?" Jeremiah conversed with the unborn child who didn't reply.

"Jerry..." Lisa whined. "Can you come back up here? I want some attention too." She complained with a pout.

"Sorry." Jeremiah went back up and faced the teacher. "I just wanted to talk to the baby for a while." Lisa buried her face into the his neck.

"Well, I want to talk to you." Lisa's words tickled Jeremiah's neck.

...........

"Have you decided yet?" Jeremiah asked his girlfriend as he checked the menu in front of him. The two came down to eat breakfast at the restaurant in the hotel.

"Yeah." Lisa called over the waitress who came as quickly as possible. "Talia, I would like to have the fried green plantains and eggs, please. And some lime drink too."

"Are you sure you want that, Lili? Your stomach hasn't been holding in eggs. And you said those plantains are too dry for you." Jeremiah asked in concern as he placed his hand over Lisa's which was on the table.

"Yes, I'm sure. Of course I know what I want. I'm not a child. Would you stop babying me?" Lisa said angrily before snatching her hand away.

"Okay. You're right, Lisa. I'm sorry." Jeremiah replied quickly.

"Lisa? Did you just call me Lisa?!" The teacher raised her voice.

"N-No?"

"Yes, you did. Are you serious right now?"

"No, Lili. It just slipped out." Jeremiah gave her an apologetic smile before turning to the waiting waitress. "The ripe plantains with grated cheese on top and lime drink too, please." Jeremiah ordered that just in case Lisa changed her mind.

After the woman told them that their food will arrive soon, she left and went to the kitchen to inform the chef.

The two sat in silence in their seat. Lisa looked angry while Jeremiah looked scared for his life. Not long after, their breakfast was served and Jeremiah breathed a sigh of relief.

"Thank you, Jane." This made Jeremiah confused.

"Jane? Isn't her name Talia?" The teacher didn't even look up and just dug into her breakfast. Realising he won't be getting a response any time soon, Jeremiah ate too.

As he ate, Jeremiah noticed the teacher constantly glancing at him but chose not to think about it or react to it. He certainly didn't want to anger Lisa further.

Meanwhile, Lisa was having a mental battle. As soon as the smell of eggs reached her nose, she felt like throwing up. So she left them aside and ate the plantains instead. But as Jeremiah said, it was too dry for her. She normally liked them but now, everything just changed.

There was three ways she could go. Either suffer through eating the plantains and eat the eggs without throwing up, throw away the eggs afterwards to save her pride, or to swap for the juicy meal in front of Jeremiah that will surely taste delicious and save her stomach. Yes, she could order her own, but that would take too long and she was really hungry.

In the end, she chose the latter. Lisa leaned across the table and poked Jeremiah's arm with a pout, making her boyfriend look up. Not having the guts to say anything, she just pointed at his plate. Understanding what the teacher wanted, the young man quickly passed it over and collected what the teacher had.

A laugh was trying to escape from his mouth but he tried to cover it with a fake cough. However, the wide smile on his face didn't disappear no matter how much he tried to get it off.

"Don't laugh at me." Lisa whined as she enjoyed her new breakfast.

"I'm not laughing." Jeremiah defended himself but a loud laugh fell out right after which caught the attention of the nearby tables. He bowed his head in apology before laughing quietly to himself.

"Yes, you are." Lisa pouted before crossing her arms.

"I love you so much, Lili." He leaned over the table and kissed the teacher's cheek with a bright smile on his face, turning the pout on Lisa's face into a smile.
