She frowns, looking off into the distance & then looking at me suddenly, an intense, determined look in her gray green eyes. I look away under the power of her gaze, feeling my face redden. She clears her throat nervously & I look up suddenly.
"I..." She begins slowly, looking down at her hands before back at me. "You... have to promise to not tell anyone, ok?"
I nod fervently. "Of course, you can trust me in that."
She frowns, looking down at her hands again, eyes seeming to sadden. "Ok... I..." She laughs nervously, falling back on her pillows, beautiful blond hair billowing out & splaying beneath her. She covers her eyes with her hands. "Fuck... this is so embarrassing, Cal... I'm... just gonna say it... & I know it's gonna sound bad but... I have to say it... to you..." I nod nervously, even though she can't see me with her eyes covered like that. "I... don't want to get married..."
I nod. "That... makes sense... that's not that embarrassing or weird to say... I get that..."
She sighs heavily, turning on her side & looking away from me. "That's not the embarrassing part though... I don't want to get married... because... I think I'm in love with you..."
