I nod slowly, looking away, before I feel him tackle me in a hug for some reason. I look up at him slowly, face reddening. He looks down at me excitedly, eyes bright. "Why are you... hugging me?"
His face reddens, but he smiles nonetheless. "Because I... like you too... I thought it was kinda obvious by now, honestly... I've never been very good at hiding my feelings..."
I blink at him in surprise. "Wait... you like me too? Like... romantically?"
He laughs nervously, eyes on mine. "Yeah... I... always thought you were cute but..." I feel my face redden at his words. "I... only started to realize it... after we became friends... I... couldn't help staring at you all the time..." He smiles wistfully, face red. "Thinking about you all the time... dwelling on compliments you gave me for no reason... even when they weren't really compliments..." He chuckles nervously & I smile.
"& don't forget about yourself!"
"What." He looks down at me, eyebrows raised.
I smile brightly. "Yeah! The way I feel about you! I... don't think I noticed... that I might like you... until I got your helmet... I... cherished that gift much more than my others &... I was always crushing on Blue..." I blush, looking away, mumbling. "You're gorgeous..." His eyebrows raise, mouth slightly agape. My face heats even more. "Wait- did I say that out loud?!" [Oof, lol :D]
He chuckles nervously. "No, that's ok, I feel the same way about you... you're so cute... I just... wasn't expecting you to say that... I mean... people have told me that before... mostly my fans, but... not someone who was... so close to my heart..."
My face reddens at the thought. "I'm close to your heart?"
He chuckles nervously. "Yeah...?" He chuckles playfully. "How many times do I need to say I love you for you to understand that? I thought we established that already...?"
I bury my face in the fabric of his suit embarrassedly, hiding my red face & giving a muffled, "I love you too..."
He chuckles nervously, rubbing the top of my hair with 1 hand in response, the other hand soothing over my back. & I can't help thinking... this is kinda surreal... I mean... Blue & Briar are the same person &... he loves me too...
