As the days I work at the Palace for the prince pass by, I slowly start to trust him more & more. He was right when he said that I don't have many events to schedule, though I wonder sometimes why he doesn't... You'd think it'd be more beneficial to have him out there doing humanitarian work at least to generate some good publicity or something, but then again, I don't know his life...

I'm initially very formal around him, nervous & stiff, having never dealt with royalty before, but after not 3 days have passed, he tells me I don't have to do that anymore. Tells me I can call him "Briar", a nickname he goes by instead of "Your Highness" which he finds far too stiff, & his first name "Colm", which he seems to despise. With his few scheduling events but his mother requiring me available at the Palace during office hours, I find myself staring out the window often... With nothing to do...

A week goes by, & Briar eventually notices this habit & approaches me about it. "Are you... enjoying this job? I'm sorry if it's too stuffy or something... I know you need the pay though, I'm sure..." He frowns, eyes seeming apologetic & I smile.

"No, no... It's fine... I just... I don't really have a lot to do here..."

He smiles apologetically. "Oh... I'm sorry, I know this place is a bore... I could take you somewhere exciting if you want..." He plays nervously with his fingers & I blink slowly at him.

"What."

He looks up shyly & I can't help feeling what a strange situation this is. The prince looking timidly at me... What are the odds... "You'd have to keep it a secret though..."

I nod hesitantly, unsure but wanting to get out of this boring office nonetheless. "Ok... If you're sure there's nothing for me to do right now..."

He grins, face reddening slightly in excitement I'm sure. "Ok! Um... follow me..."

I follow reluctantly, not really sure what we're doing but... kinda ok with that...

Where are they going? That is the question~ ,':)
