Chapter 101- Helios

He steps closer to me, closing his eyes as I pull him minutely up to my height, his feet now touching the ground on tip toes. Slowly drawing my lips down to his, tentatively. Feeling their softness against mine. My hands wrapping around his waist & pulling him closer. His hands winding into my hair, playing with the small hairs at the nape of my neck, his lips turning up into the kiss. Our tongues touching slowly. Breaking away hesitantly, my eyes still on his beautiful greens, head resting against his forehead before setting him down on the ground again.

He smiles crookedly. "I didn't even know you could lift me..." He touches my chest briefly & I blush. "Strong, huh?"

I laugh nervously, smiling. "Technically, the strength would come from my back & arm muscles in this situation..."

He grins, rolling his eyes jokingly. "Whatever..." He clears his throat, then looks up at me. "If... your muscles need a break, we could always sit on the porch..."

I grin at him, slowly drawing near & he smiles. "Oh, no, I'm not tired at all..."

The rest of the week, we seem kinda shy, but happy, around each other. We don't bring up our... relationship with our other friends yet, it's too fresh & we're still figuring things out, after we kissed. We do like each other & we text often still... We just aren't ready to make our relationship public, there's still so much to process & this is still so new...

I do talk about it to my new closest friend, besides Robin, of course, Ime. They are always pretty chill & a great listener, plus we have English together. Ime sits right in front of me, so we get to talk sometimes. Robin has that class too, but he's on the other side of the room, so it's really the only time I can talk to Ime about him, besides when we text.

They inhale excitedly, eyes lighting up. "Oh my gosh, you guys kissed!" They whisper-yell & I grin. "That's amazing!"

I smile. "Thanks... I'm still unsure where we stand though..."

They raise an eyebrow. "You literally kissed & you're still wondering..." [Lol, this is us, guys :D]

I shake my head. "No, like, I know we like each other but... We aren't officially together, if that makes sense? We... haven't gone on a date or anything... or said we were boyfriends..."

They frown slightly. "I'm sorry... That sounds super frustrating..."

I shake my head side to side. "Eh... I mean, kind of, but... I think we just need time... To hang out more... To let it breathe..."

They nod understandingly. "Ok... Well, if you need any help with anything, or just need someone to talk to, I'm always here..."

I smile gratefully. "Thanks. It's really nice finally having friends for once."

They smile kindly. "Likewise... Though I can't say I'll be much help with dating advice, I'll do what I can..."

I grin. "Thank you."
