Chapter 6- Nora

I hear her silent on the other side of my bed, & I know then that it was a mistake to tell her. "Fuck..." I sigh heavily, getting up & heading for the door. "I knew it was a mistake to say it out loud... I... really do mean it but... I just ruined everything, didn't I?" Not looking at her, for fear of embarrassment, I rush out of there before things can get more awkward.

She finds me sometime later on our favorite hill on the outskirts overlooking the town. She comes & sits next to me on the grass slowly & I draw my knees up to my chest nervously. She's come to tell me she hates me now, hasn't she?

She sighs, looking at me intently, eyes surprisingly tender (?) & I turn to her in surprise. She clears her throat nervously. "I..." She looks down at the ground before up at me again, her face a little red. "I'm sorry I didn't say anything to you back there... I... was kinda in shock... I... didn't expect you to say that... But... that doesn't mean I don't still accept you... In fact..." She looks away, face red. "I've... liked you that way for a long time now &-"

My eyes widen & I gasp slightly. "Wait... you like me too?"

She chuckles nervously, looking at me at last, a bright smile on her face. "Fuck, Nora, I've been in love with you for years now &... If I'd known you liked me too..."

I chuckle nervously, smiling crookedly at her. "I guess we're both clueless then... I... didn't know you liked me that way either..."

She chuckles lowly, leaning toward me as she does so & I blush. She looks up at me slowly, eyes bright & eyebrows raised. "So... what now then?"
