It takes a lot more work to plan the welcome home party than what I'd anticipated, but ultimately worth it, I'd say. I'd planned town events before, so it wasn't too hard for me. But for a party, yeah, it was more planning than I expected. Everything was set to welcome them on the day they arrived, a crowd there to welcome them on the 1st day, & I would take them back to the Chieftain house where I lived by myself now, & take them to their room. The town would be decorated for the occasion & a big party would be planned for the next day, that way they would have some time to rest from their journey. Everything would be perfect.
I was so glad that the majority of the town was enthusiastic about the celebrations too. It had been a mystery to them what had happened to Nora, & to hear that she was returning... would make anyone excited & curious to see what had happened to her. I made sure everyone knew to give my sister a warm welcome, but give her some space as well. Don't want her overwhelmed by people & everything. I just hoped everything went according to plan...
