Chapter 37- Briar

This is the prince from the last chapter, if you didn't know. Just w no concealer or contacts in & a wig on. This is his pop star persona. Just so you aren't confused :'D

I hadn't known beforehand that my professional piano lessons that my parents made me take just for stuffy formal occasions could be used for something I liked...

The thrill of the crowd... It was amazing...

After I headed home the next day, my parents went off on me again, asking why I couldn't just behave like my sisters & do what they expected... Why couldn't I at least be like my younger sister who kept her interests a secret from the public...

I decided then & there, not telling my parents of course, that I would find some way to express myself. Disguised, of course, so my parents couldn't stop me, but... Some way...

My big break came when my mom had to go to a diplomatic meeting out of the city & my dad was left to tend to royal business & I could do whatever I wanted, as long as it didn't cause a stir...

It was in those days, with the help of my brilliantly rebellious younger sister Ríona, that I came up with the persona of Aster Aoki, or Blue... my new stage name... My hope to express myself...

My 1st night onstage I completely bombed & afterward... I kept wondering if I should even keep doing this... But then Ríona reminded me why I was doing it, & that made me try that much harder...

3 years later & I'm now 1 of the top musicians in the nation now... Not just in one place either, all over... I'm a famous pop star known for my unique look & musical style in small towns, coastal cities, & even the Capital, which has the most diverse audience in the nation with all types of species from elves to humans & whatnot... & yet, I still somehow became popular there too, everywhere... Despite everyone's different tastes...

It's honestly surreal, I mean... If I had been told 3 years ago that I would become this famous... I don't think I would have believed it, but now... I'm living my dream...

I still have to balance the occasional events I get as a second born prince of the kingdom with my singing career, but it's honestly not that much now... My parents want to minimize my likelihood of getting involved in scandals by only requiring me to go to occasion events where our whole family is needed...

Which is fine with me, I mean... I don't mind spending more time singing for my fans... In fact... it's 1 of the few things I still enjoy... & as long as nobody knows that the prince is the 1 singing to thousands... It'll stay that way...
