Chapter 38

Mina POV

The next day I woke up a bit late than usual. Dad was on the phone talking with someone. I couldn't hear what he said so I settled myself on the table sitting and tried to eating something. I feel weak from my everyday crying and I still can't reach Chaeyoung.

"Good afternoon sweetie. You woke up late. Good thing its weekend." Dad said kissing my head and sitting.

"Sorry dad." I replied short.

"Its okay sweetie. Oh, btw I have contacted Chaeyoung an-." I didn't let dad to finish his word.

"Really? Where is she? Is she okay? Is she coming home now?" I fired him question after question. I'm feeling excited at the same time freaking out that she finally talked to someone.

"Calm down honey. She said she was okay. She will need some time to clear her head from everything and I'm 100% okay with that. Chaeyoung need some time for herself. Maybe when she's well enough she will come back and that time you guys should talk." Dad said squeezing my hand. 

"But I miss her. I don't think I can live another day without seeing her." I said already tearing up.

"Sweetie, we should give Chaeyoung some space. We couldn't resolve anything while all our emotions are running wild. You two need to calm and get enough rest then you two can have a talk if not, all decision are make by emotions and unreasonable." Dad continue said.

"I just want her back." I said with my tears already falling.

"She will be back sweetie. She needs for the kids. Now, eat this. You need some energy too." Dad said encouraging me.

After forcing myself to eat everything, I stay at living room reading the book. I try to relax myself and push away everything. But, its coming up to me. Until Chaeyoung mom came and I told her to sit.

"Hai mom. Nice to see you but what are you doing here?" I asked. Did Chaeyoung told her anything?

"Hai Mina. I'm here to take Haneul. Chaeyoung call me this morning told me to take Haneul living with us since she's still travelling. Beside, his school nearest to ours. She think you have enough on your plate with work and a 1 year old baby." Mom explained.

"I think I can handle everything just fine mom." I said forcing myself to look braver.

"Honey, I know something wrong between you and Chaeyoung. But, I won't be one of noisy in law who like to snooping on your martial problems. But I think its the best for me to take Haneul. With that, you can rest and think the best." Mom said softly to me. Then, she hugging me.

"Thank you mom." I said feeling defeated.

Mom and Haneul went away leaving me with guilty, embarrassment, and disappointment eating me up. I promise I will do anything on my power to bring back my family. I will have the family that I build with Chaeyoung. I will give anything to fix this.

Chaeyoung POV

I have been staying at the motel two town over ours and been drinking my ass off. When you enter my room, you could see bottles in the different places. I don't even remember when I last eat, all I ever do is drink and I'm not even an alcoholic. This betrayal really fucking me over. I also been blocking everyone call expect mom and Mr.Akira. They usually call to tell me about the kids doing and how they coping when I'm not around. I know it seem I abandoned my kids, but never. I just mentally drained and emotions are not in the right state. So, I don't think I could be the parent they need and moment this moment. I really miss them, but I need to regain myself and tough enough for them.
