Chapter 42

Mina POV

Finally, Chaeyoung is back. She's back. I miss her a lot. I wanted to hug her. I wanted to kiss her so bad. But, she being cold with me which is I understandable after what I have done to her. But, I miss her so much. I want to talk and want her let me explain everything but dad wanted some space for them. I have no clue and I don't know what they want some space to talk. Yes, dad did mention he will told and explained everything tomorrow, but I need to know now especially its involved my family. I decide to take short bath and waiting for dad in living room.

I have been wearing Chaeyoung pyjamas ever since she was gone. I just wanted to feel her appearance. I wanted something of her close to me as its help me to sleep and her smells calm me. I open book for buying some time, but I can't focus on it because my mind keep think about Chaeyoung. I really need to know what's happening. Its already pass 2 o'clock in the morning, I can hear a car pulling in. The front door open and I can see dad figure entered.

"Dad!" I called him as he started to climb the stairs.

"Mina? Why are you here? You supposed to sleep now." Dad said.

"I can't sleep." I said as dad sit next to me.

"Sweetie, you need some sleep and energy. We are needed to be at office in a few hours." Dad said patting my leg and start standing.

"Dad wait." I pulling his hand to remain sitting.

"What's wrong Mina?" Dad asked.

"Where is she? How is she?" I asked without eyes contact with dad as I felt embarrassed.

"Who? Oh! You mean Chaeyoung? I brought her to hospital to checkup and she's staying there for the night to recuperate." Dad replied.

"Hospital? What happened to her? I need to see her." I said shocked, starting to stand up and panicking.

"Sweetie, Chaeyoung is okay. Doctor said she just need some rest and they already give her some medicines. So, I'm sure she already sleep and beside visiting hours is over." Dad holding my shoulder making me turn to him.

"I miss her so much dad!" I said crying while dad held me close to his chest and tried consoling me.

"She's okay. Trust me." Dad said softly.

"Dad. What happened to her?" I asked sniffing while pulling away and sitting again.

"I don't think I should tell you. Better you ask her by yourself." Dad said.

"I would love to. But, she doesn't want to talk to me. Please dad." I pleading.

"Hmm. She got into an accident while running away, a car hit her. Good thing the driver brought her to the hospital." Dad explained smiling sadly.

"Oh god! This is all my fault. I make her suffer." I said sobbing in my hand.

"Mina don't blame yourself. Everything happen just to fast." Dad tried making me feel good.

"No dad. If I didn't cheat, if I didn't entertain Bang Chan, if I just waited like a good wife, none of this should have happen." I said crying more.

"Sweetie, we can't change what already happened. Besides, we have a far greater problem at hand which will affect everyone's future." Dad said seriously.

"What's wrong dad?" I said wiping my tears away.

Dad began to told me everything. How we currently facing huge financial crisis, how he been trying to control it but failed. That's why he called Chaeyoung and ask for help. He told now NIS also involved and currently holding a post at the 20th floor, trying to catch the culprit. Dad also ask me to act like nothing happen and being professional that no one should know about the problem. After talking, we bid a goodnight and I went to the room tried to have some sleep and calmed my mind. Even Chaeyoung not at home but at least I can see her everyday and being near to her now. I will do anything to get her back to me.
