"Who the hell is June Stone?" Lexie points to my basket of CDs that I managed to get.

"Someone I recently started listening to. She's an American singer that's pansexual, who sings lots of songs for us girls." I said, grabbing one of my CDs to show her. "This is one of her oldest albums, I had the hardest time finding this."

"What kind of songs are on there?"

"Songs for girls that like girls." I put the CD back into my basket. "I'm going to listen to it at home."

"By the CD player or your phone? Because the reason I go CD shopping is to build my collection."

"Both. Some of her songs sadly aren't playable on the phone anymore, so I have to listen to some on the CD."

"Like La Lune?" Lexie asked.

"Yeah," I said, picking up one CD to look at. "It sucks when their music is underrated."

"They really are underrated, I bet if someone famous played it on their live streams it would get picked up quick."

"And It'll get played around like a trend," I said, looking at another CD. "Oh well, not like it won't benefit the singer."

"Yeah." Lexie looks at the short line of people at the register. "Should we go pay for our things now?"

"Mmm..." I eye the rest of the CDs. "I want to find this one singer-slash-rapper that Lauren likes. I hear her playing their songs during lunch a lot."

"What's their name so I can help you look?"

"Belle Snow," I said. "I believe she only has two albums right now."

"Okay," Lexie said. "It shouldn't be too hard to find."

Lexie walks off to find the albums, while I continue checking the bin of CDs where I'm at.

"There you guys are!" Melanin kicked me gently on my ass with her foot. "Lauren and I were searching all over!"

"No need to kick my poor ass, Melanin," I said to her, still eyeing the cashier ringing up my CDs.

"I thought you were in the bookstore or the food court." Melanin peeks at Lexie's basket. "But I guess you two were here buying CDs."

"Yeah, we are, got a problem with it?" I asked while handing the cashier my money.

"No, but tell us you're coming here before leaving like that." Melanin looks back at me. "Where are you planning to go next?"

"The bookstore," I said.

"Well, I'm not going in there this time, I want to go look for this dress I saw online." Melanin said.

"I'll go," Lauren said.

"I'll go with Melanin then," Lexie said, giving the cashier her basket once they finished with me.

"Alright," I said, walking away from them with Lauren. "Don't get lost."

Melanin rolls her eyes. "It was one time, I'm not going to get lost."

"Hope not," I said before walking out of the CD store with Lauren to head to the bookstore.

"What book are you looking for?" Lauren asked.

I sighed. "Just any book. I haven't been here in a while, so I wanted to come to check for anything new."

"Any genre you want to try out or want to read again?"
