Title: My Hand
Y/n's POV
I'm supposed to be due today but it hasn't happened. I wonder if she's going to be a late bloomer and decide to come out late
I decided to head to the bathroom. I get in there and close the door. That's when I feel it happen
Did I just pee? Or was that the...
My eyes widen
"Jean!" I call out. I hear loud and quick footsteps. The door slams open
"What?!" He asks
"I think she's ready" I say. His eyes widen. My contractions start coming in and I groan in pain. Jean puts a hand on my back as he guides me to the car
"You... stupid... horse..." I groan in pain. He puts me in the backseat. He then hops in the front and starts the car. He gives me his hand and I begin squeezing it in pain. He speeds to the hospital
"Everything will be alright" He says
"For...you it will be... not-" I cut myself off with a groan
"Hey, are you alright?" He asks
"I'm going into labor..." I say
"Right..." He mutters. He gets there and parks. He escorts me in and they take me to a room. They get me ready for birth
~Time Skip~
"Alright Y/n, I'm gonna need you to push!" Dr. Zoe says with crazy eyes
Do I want them holding my baby?
I grab Jean's hand and squeeze it as I push. I cry out in pain as I continue pushing. Jean begins silently crying from the pain in his hand.

"Just a couple more pushes" They say. I squeeze even harder on Jean's hand and hear a snap as I push. Jean's eyes widened as he began crying just a tad louder.
Did I just break Jean's hand? Yes, do I care? No
"I see a head now keep on pushing!" They say. I continue pushing as tears streamed down my face.
"I've got it, I've got it. Ooh it's a girl" Dr. Zoe says. They cut the umbilical cord and then clean the baby off. I pant in exhaustion. My eyes are ready to close, my lower body is basically numb.
I dont think anything will compare to childbirth
They come back and hand me the baby. I smile at the sleeping girl.
"Jean" I mutter. He turns around and stares at me with teary eyes. That's when I remembered I had broken his hand
"Jean... I'm so sorry..." I say.
"It's fine..." He says in a strained voice. He then looks at the baby
"May I do... the honors of naming.. the baby?" He asks trying not to cry anymore
"Yeah..." I say exhausted
"D/n" He says
"D/n" I say
"She's beautiful... I'll protect.. her with... my life... holy crap my hand hurts" He says. I tiredly laugh
