"I am....NEVER wearing those shoes while driving ever again," Patton complained, holding onto Logan as Logan held onto the banister. Both struggling to get up the the several flights of stairs they usually climb.
Stopping, Logan took a breath, "We're in the building, why not take the shoes off," Logan sighed as he was being weighed down by Patton and the shopping bag. Looking back to Patton, his fiancè had the most blank and guilty expression he had ever seen upon Patton's face. "Don't tell me..."
"I can't get them off," Patton groaned.
It was around 8pm, the two had just driven back from the resturant and had gotten the offerings for their kids: chocolate ice cram for Yvette and Vanilla icecream for Janus. Along with that, Patton got himself some cookie dough ice cream whereas Logan got some strawberry icecream.
After getting up to their floor, Logan opened the door as Patton threw himself into the apartment before trying to rip his shoes off thustly, to no avail, they were still stuck.
Walking past Patton, Logan went into the kitchen to put the ice cream, that was starting to melt, into the freezer for desert tomorrow. He did not want the kids staying up past 10pm being hyper.
Dirty plates were stacked in the washing up bowl, still slightly warm as left over crumbs stuck to them. Obviously they had been fed. He expects nothing less from the guy whom looks after his younger brother.
When he put the various icecreams in the fridge, he shoved the bag into the bag of bags and decided to look for the kids and Roman since there was barely a sound that could be heard.
Leaving the kitchen, Patton was seen still struggling but had began wiggling off the shoe by loosening the stiff laces. Scoffing playfully, Logan left him to his own devices and went into the living room where the sound of the quiet TV echoed through the apartment in the dull lamp.
The blinds were closed and the thermostat had obviously been messed with. Other than that, nothing else seemed out of place.
Peaking his head to the sofa, everyone was slouching asleep as the uninteresting evening shows played in the background. A blanket was drapped across all of the kids however Roman was left without, he probably fell asleep last. Janus and Remus seemed like they hadn't moved, the blanket softly tucked them in barely had a crease. Yvette on the other hand was barely tucked in. The faint snoring interrupted the TV every few seconds as their soft breathing bathed in the mellow light.
With a small smile, Logan went to the closet, grabbing a blanket before drapping it across Roman so he wouldn't be cold in the morning. It was the least he could do for his friend whom looks after their kids.
Going back to Patton, Logan spoke with a hushed tone, "They're all asleep in the living," he whispered as Patton managed to yank the shoe off of his foot in the process. The shoe clattered againest the apartment door as the two cringed at the noise, hoping it didn't wake the others.
Groaning slightly, Patton looked back at Logan whom was checking that everyone didn't wake up, "...sorry-" He cringed at himself as Logan came back over to help with his shoes. At least he tried and that's what counts.

Finally they managed to get Patton's shoes off. The two fell backwards in the corridor in mental exhaustion, sighing loudly in defeat from a shoe.
Rolling to his side, Patton stared at Logan quietly as the faint glistening of the polished ring sparkled in the dim light. His hand flowing up and down on his chest like a boat floating along a river in the june mornings. The quiet whistling of Logan's nostril swooned in the air as he turned over to gaze at Patton.
"We should leave them asleep for tonight," Logan suggested, his eyes drooping as his blinking slowed. Sitting up, he stretched, his muscles clicking slightly.
Nodding, Patton sat up as well, "No one is busy tomorrow so I'm sure it'll be alright," he told him, begining to get up onto his feet before helping Logan up. Their hands lingered in each others warm touch as the two smiled at one another for meerly a long moment.
Sighing, Patton opened their bedroom door before chucking himself on the bed. His head moved closely into the blanket as if he lived there. It wasn't very warm though.
Rolling his eyes, Logan sat by Patton at the bottom of the bed. "You should probably change before going to sleep mi amour," Logan told him, shaking his leg gently so Patton doesn't fall asleep.
Sleepily humming in response, Patton rolled back onto his back. " 'Kay..." he mumbled slugishly getting up once more as Logan passed Patton his pjyamas, knocking him backwards slightly.
Getting his own pjyamas Logan waved Patton goodbye before going to the bathroom to wash up and change for bed.
~~~
The light was turned off when Logan came to bed, Patton's glasses reflected the hallway night from the bedside table. Sleeping beside the table, Patton looked like he had already fallen asleep. After the stress of today, you can't blame him.
Turning off the hallway light, Logan glanced at the others whom were still sound asleep in the living room. A smile bloomed upon his face as meerly the sound of someone (Yvette's) snoring filled the apartment with sound.
Moving over to Yvette, Logan tucked her in more before planting a quick kiss on the forehead. Her snores still bellowing throughout the room.
Quietly, he tip toed over to where Remus and Janus were curled up againest each other, tucking them both in. With a small smile, he pecked Janus' forehead softly and put Remus' hand into the blanket so it wouldn't be cold in the morning.
Attempting to hold back a laugh, Logan brought Roman into a comfortable position before tucking him into his blanket. The blanket, of course being too small so Logan went and got another for him. It's the least he could do for a friend
Completely content with the way he left the room, he nodded proudly at himself. Reaching over between the sofa's, Logan turned off the lamp; finally deciding to leave them all alone to go to bed. He couldn't help but smile at the odd people he calls his family.
Opening the door to the room again, Patton was still sound asleep, and that was fine. He deserved a good long sleep for tonight.
Walking over to his side, Logan slipped off his glasses, placing them on his own table before getting into the warm covers. Patton's chest rose and fell with the covers as Logan shuffled over to get comfortable. He just wanted to hold him for this day and forwards.
Stirring, Patton rolled over, now facing Logan. The smell of tonights dinner lingered in his breath, the scent being the only thing Logan could smell. His mouth hung slightly ajar, some drool hanging down the corner of his mouth. Along with that, he was wearing the same pjyamas as the night before. For better or for worse, he still loved him more than he ever believed he could ever love a person.
Either way, Patton managed to capture his heart with every part of him. Well, all apart from him neglecting his dental health. Other than that, basically everything. Still he'll be there, in both sickness and in health.
The ring that embraced his finger was proof of that. He wouldn't be able to decline him if he tried.
"Good night mi amour," Logan told Patton quietly, brushing his hair out of his face before gently pecking his cheek. Closing his eyes, allowing himself to go to sleep despite the remaining adrenaline from when Patton proposed. The idea that they'd be together until death parted them was both a scary and a welcome change, and he wouldn't change it for the world.
