Logan had just boxed the last few things and was now ready to move to Patton's apartment. The two had agreed to pay half of the rent to make it easier and cook food for everyone every few days. Logan was cooking on: Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. Whereas Patton was cooking (with the help of Yvette) on: Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday because we all know he can't cook that well.
The room that he'd be staying in was an extra one since Patton brought a three bedroom apartment in case he had people staying over. Although, now he thinks about it, maybe two extra rooms was a bit much back then.
The room was up some stairs and had windows on two walls since it was in the corner. The only reason Patton himself didn't take that room is because he didn't want to walk even more stairs just to sleep. The walls were already painted a calm shade of blue and the floor was covered in a smooth wood. Other than that, the room was completely empty.
The previous night, since he had already packed his bed away, he just slept on the sofa that was left there by the previous owners. He descided to leave it there since it wasn't actually his.
Unfortunately, one of the only things he was going to miss was the mural he painted upon the ceiling a few years ago. He obviously couldn't bring it with him, so all he could do is remember it.
Logan grabbed a few small boxes and stacked them on top of each other and began stacking them in the boot of his car. Then he grabbed the box containing some of his books, and put them in there and the other boxes of books as well. Next he grabbed the box of kitchen utensils and put them in the boot as well. There was now not that much space left so he just put his paints in there then closed it.
As he walked through the now empty shop, he couldn't help but feel a lump in his throat when he saw the lack of flowers that was once covering the entire shop in a variety of vibrant colours.
As he climbed back up the stairs, he lunged a large box (containing his bed frame) down the stairs and promptly shoved it in the back seat of his car. Fortunately, there was room for as few more things on the floor so he put his toiletries and pillows down there.
Logan locked the store's door and drove all the way to Patton's apartment where the very man was waiting there with Yvette, ready to asist. The two looked extremely excited as he drove up in front of the apartment building.
"Good morning you two," Logan greeted the two as Yvette gave him a hug, he rustled her long hair in return before Patton began speaking.
"So what can we do?" Patton asked, peering into the car window, shocked at how packed it was, "Wow, this is a lot of stuff," he mumbled under his breath.
"Indeed," Logan walked over to the boot and opened it to reveal how much more full it was compared to the back seat, "The ones on the left are a lot more heavy than the ones on the right, so Yvette you can grab a box from the left alright,"
"Okay!" She cheerfully replied as she grabbed a box that contained most of Logan's clothes, which, to be fair, wasn't a lot of clothes.
Patton, on the other hand, grabbed a box that was crammed to the brim with books, "Holy- What even is in these boxes?"
"My books, there's a lot," Logan blushed as he also grabbed another box that contained books as well.
The whole crew took their boxes up to Logan's room, well apart from Yvette who was told to leave her box in the kitchen.
When they came back to the car, Logan passed Yvette the box of his paints. It could easily be the lightest box there.
"Ooooo what's in here?" She asked as she felt how light it was, "Are there pillows in here?"
"No, those are instead my paints, there's quite a lot," Logan chuckled slightly at himself whilst he grabbed the last box of book and Patton picked up a box that contained his not-so-light bookshelf.
As he struggled to hold up the box they all made there way back up into the apartment, but this time Yvette had to walk up the same amount of stairs as the other two. Let's just say she didn't like it that much.
Shutting the boot, Logan opened his car door and Yvette dove in and claimed the pillows that had been shoved onto the floor.
"Alright, Patton, grab this side, and I'll grab the other," Logan instructed as he slid the box of his bed frame slightly out of the car.
"Alrighty," He said before feeling the weight of it as he helped drag the rest of it out of there.
Grabbing the other end of the box and lifting it out of the car, Yvette came back down and grabbed the box of toiletries out of the car, so now Logan closed the door with his hip so him and Patton could get that box up the stairs.
"How many more boxes do you need to bring over anyway?" Patton inquired as he watched his feet go up the buildings stairs.
"Just a few more boxes, not a lot to be fair," Logan told him as they reached the floor where Patton lived.
Yvette had finished putting her share of Logan's things upstairs so she was now in the kitchen, getting herself a drink as the two men walked past.
Slowly, but surely, they made it up to Logan's room and now he had to get the rest of the boxes. The other two, however, descided to take a well earned break when Logan went.
The rest of the boxes were the rest of his clothes, the tv, basically all his electronics, his curtains, quite a few notebooks, a scrapbook, his bedside tables, his wardrobe, his desk, his desk chair, drawers and a few nicknacks left behind from his late mother.
All the notebooks had their own box, well apart from the scrapbook and curtains with them. The bedside tables were deconstructed and put into separate boxes along with his wardrobe, drawers, desk chair, desk and tv. Lastly, all his electronics had their own box as well and the nicknacks did too.
The wardrobe, for obvious reasons was put in the back seat with the electronics and his clothes box on the floor. The nicknacks, tv and one of the bedside tables were in the boot. The notebooks were in the front seat with Logan, he was going to have to make another trip for the other boxes.
When he drove up to the apartment, he texted Patton that he was back and as he grebbed the nicknacks, the pair had came down.
"Unfortunately, I'll have to make another trip, there are some more things left.
Patton laughed as he picked up the box that had the bedside table in it, "I guess these are the heavy load,"
"Yes," He carefully placed the box of his mother's nicknacks in Yvettes arms, "Please be careful with this box please," Yvette nodded as she began walking back into the building, clearly more cautious than before.
Logan on the other hand, also grabbed a heavy box that had his tv in it and the two men walked up the stairs like pregnant ladies.
After they all came back down, Logan gave Yvette one of the last lightest boxes which happened to be the notebooks since you couldn't actually get to the clothes now.
Once again, Patton and Logan were both struggling to drag the heaviest box up the stairs unsurprisingly. When they finally got back down to the car along with Yvette whom had watched them both stumble up the stairs with a giggle, they grabbed some more boxes.
Yvette was passed the box of clothes and Patton grabbed the last box which was his electronics so Logan could grab the other ones quicker.
Trip number three back to the house was as you'd expect from getting three extremely heavy boxes down the stairs by one's self.
The drawers were in the back seat and the desk pair were in the boot.
After the three had finally brought up all the boxes, Logan was offically moved out of the shop. It was a new era.
