Trigger warning: Homophobia, blood

"Um Virgil..." Logan fiddled with his fingers as he spoke to his best friend. It was a relatively private place to talk with people. This was the day. He'd been thinking about telling Virgil this since they started their freshmen year in highschool, so far it was the middle of the year and he'd built up the courage to tell him.

"Yeah Logan? What's up?" Virgil asked. Virgil had dull brown/ grey eyes and dark brown hair that just darkened in the shadows they both stood in. His pale skin could easily burn peoples eyes in the dark.

Logan mumbled quietly as his words failed to form.

"Logan? Dude, you drag us both out here, what's up?" Virgil questioned as he took a seat on a brick wall.

Breathing in, Logan began a sentence he could say, "I need to inform you about something,"

"Something about me..." He stuttered stupidly.

Virgil now realised what Logan could be saying, "It's okay Logan, you don't have to tell me,"

"I want to...d-don't worry," Logan sat down beside his best friend as he stopped shaking as much as before.

"Alright..." Virgil told him as he looked at Logan, "Tell me."

"I-I'm..."

"I-I'm..."

"I-I th-think I-I'm...."

"Um....I'm..."

"Just rip it off like a bandaid Logan," Logan scolded himself.

"Alright, Virgil, I am..." He lost his voice as he raised it before saying, "Virgil, I'm gay,"

Virgil's expression softened at the boy in front of him that had tears flowing freely down his face.

"It's okay Logan,"

"It's okay,"

The usually closed of boy held out his arms for his best friend that was sobbing in front of him with joy.

"It's okay," He patted Logan's head gently whilst he cried into Virgils black hoodie, making it darker.

The shadows disappeared as the Earth span slowly to face to sun.

Time Skip!

"Oh honey, you're back," Logan's foster mother said.

Ever since his mother died a year ago, he was moved in with these people. They weren't too bad.

Emile was pretty friendly, he liked the colour pink and you'd usually find him wearing a baggy beige cardigan and a buttoned up shirt. He had realistic goals for the future, he wanted to help people to put it simply. Homework was sometimes an issue but he'd try to eventually hand it in, that didn't really matter to the teachers though. Physically, he had strawberry blonde hair and hazel eyes. Did I mention that he had worse sight than Logan? No? Okay.

His foster mother was actually very similar to his birth mother. They both had a tendency to use nicknames like 'honey' or 'baby' to the other and Logan included. They were uncomfortably similar to Logan.

"I got you that spray bottle you wanted, I put in on your bed," She also didn't respect privacy as much as she probaly should.

"Thank you ma'am," Logan ducked out of the room before she could say another word to him.

He actually shared a room with Emile and often he'd be awoken by Emile squealing about one of the hundred's of cartoons he's collected over the years.
