Trigger Warning: Food mention.
It was around 3pm.
Logan came down wearing his coat, he walked over to Patton, gave him a peck on the cheek, "I'm going to see Emile today,"
"Have a good day," Patton told him. He grabbed his coat and pulled him closer to kiss him on his lips, "Tell him I say hi,"
Logan nodded, slightly stiff and very red, "Al-alright, goodbye,"
Time Skip! Emile's house!
Ding dong!
The doorbell rang loudly all throughout Emile's house as Logan lowered his arm from the button. It was a modern type house, the roof was flat as it was painted entirely white. The windows were stretched from the floor to the roof, the walls looked smooth and the door was a dark wooden colour. There was a little outhouse that lead into the house, it had a little slanted roof above it, it was honestly adorable. The windows in the outhouse were tiny but they most likely let in enough light. Emile had a brick wall surrounding his property with bushes growing right next to it, he also had an arch in the middle of it for the stone pathway. Several trees were planted in the front garden, all beautifully healthy looking. The driveway to the garage was blocked off by the brick wall but had a stone pathway to it, it was also strangely open with pastel cloth draped to stop people looking inside.
"Logan!" Emile emerged from the cloth, pacing towards Logan quickly and trapping him in a kind hug, "How you how do?"
"Yes, hello," Logan replied, patting Emile's back slightly as he had no idea what to do, "How have you been?"
"I've been doing relatively okay since....yeah," Emile told Logan, "Oh! Come in, come in," He gestered his hands as he slipped back in the hanging cloth pile in his garage.
Logan lifted them above him as he ruffled through the many layers of colours before appearing in Emile's garage. It was just like any garage, stone cold floor, brick walls, ect, ect. It really just had a bunch of colourful bean bags around a flat screen TV. The room was very comfy looking and it seemed Emile spends a prolonged ammount of time in the room everyday. Well, that's what the full bin near the door to the rest of the house told Logan.
"Sit! Sit!" Emile requested as he plomped himself on a pastel pink bean bag near the TV.
Logan lower himself downwards slowly before falling backwards onto the dark blue bean bag. He made an oof sound as he fell. He adjusted himself as he placed his bag on the floor.
"So, what'd you wanna talk about Logan?" He asked.
Grabbing a box of chocolates out of his bag, he passed them to Emile. Said bag now looked deflated and sad, "Your birthday was yesterday, am I correct?" Logan stated with a small smile.
"Awwwww thanks, ooo they're the same ones you got me when we were younger," Emile chuckled as he took a sneaky chocolate out of the box and ate it.
"My apologies for not being able to attend your birthday," Logan apologised.
Emile chuckled at the pure act of Logan apologising at all, "It's fineeeeee it's only a day, and you're here now aren't ya?"
Logan nodded as he stole a chocolate as ate it. It was really just a box of heroes, Logan had an eclair.
Looking around more, it seemed they weren't as alone as Logan initially believed. There were plants scattered around in here, many of which were in fact gorgeous flowers. Along with that, there was a fish tank next to the bin, the fish looked well tended to and clean. On first glance, you'd think there was just 3 fish, but upon closer inspection, you would see two cleaner shrimp on the kind of mucky rocks. The whole tank had an attractive theme to it and if I was a fish, I'd love to live there.
"I also bring news," Logan began.
"Good news or bad news?" Emile inquired, sliding the box of chocolates back into his arms in case.
Logan gave him an odd look before rolling his eyes, "It's as you would say, good news,"
"Ooooooo what is it?" Emile pryed, placing the chocolates back on the floor.
He took a rather shaky breath, quite unlike himself, "Me and Patton got together,"
Emile gasped loudly. And I mean, really loudly, "Awwww I'm so happy for you," Emile punched Logan in the arm. He wasn't the most active, so it didn't hurt that much.
"Thank you Emile," Logan told him.
"Wanna play mario cart," Emile didn't ask as he put the Nintendo switch screen onto the TV screen. Logan hummed as he took a controller.
He sat forward in his bean bag as he looked at the races Emile was flicking through. At the moment, he was tied between two cups. Naturally he did what I do, flip a coin and then see if I have a bias.
You know how they say, there's always someone better than you? Yeah, now you know how Logan is the absolute king of mario cart. Now, knowing what I've just said, who do you think won all of the races, and I mean all of them, straight wins.
Have you guessed yet?
It was Emile, he absolutely annihilated Logan, he figuratively made him bite the dust. Straight wins, all in all, he didn't even lose one match to Logan. It was glorious. Now, Emile was the real king of mario cart and Logan would never let Patton or Yvette know this.
Rematch after rematch, Emile won all of them.
Logan picked up his phone as it became darker, "Alright, it was nice seeing you Emile," Logan concluded.
He stood up with extreme trouble whilst Emile just passed him his bag as it was just painful to see Logan standing up.
"See you later flameo," Emile told him, making sort of a fire gester from one of his cartoons.
Logan scrambled through the tapestry, he could of sworn he could get lost in them by how thick it was for just a bunch of hung up cloth.
Time Skip! When Logan got back to the apartment! 8pm!
Luckily, today was Patton's day to cook so Yvette and Patton wouldn't be missing anything that much. Well unless they set the apartment on fire again.
He walked up the dark stairwell, they still hadn't repaired the lightbulbs. It wasn't something big, but it was still difficult to see where you were stepping. Walking up the stairs in the dark is really dangerous.
So when Logan tripped up them, no one was suprised. Not even you were surprised, I mean, it was clearly building up to that.
He grabbed the bannister as pulled himself up the stairs as per usual. Logan counted the floors he walked before he finally reached the apartment in the complete darkness.
A light glow illuminated the hallway just like most of the other apartments did as he came up the stairs. It wasn't much light, but it was enough so he could see where the hell his keys were and the lock was.
"Honey, I'm home," Logan announced, he glowed red unlike the warm glow in the corridor, he was red, "My apologies, I must have spent too much time with Emile today,"
Patton giggled from the living room, it was around 8pm so Yvette was in bed, so only Patton's voice filled the apartment. "You can heat up your dinner in the mircowave by the way Lo, it's on the side!" He informed him between his giggles.
The food was well done, I mean, for Patton's standards, that deserves an applause.
Logan brought his food over to the sitting area and just ate the food with it in his lap as he watched whatever Patton was watching.
"Sooooo what'd you think Lo?" Patton asked, fiddling with his shirt as he gazed upon the half finished plate of food.
Logan gazed as Patton as the man spoke, "It's wonderful, much better than the first time you cooked," He clearly joked.
Patton chuckled as he recalled Logan's helpful tips everytime he cooked. Everytime Logan spoke, it always seemed to imprint in his mind, "Thanks Lo, now finish your food before it gets cold again," He encouraged.
