Trigger Warning: Mention of swords, food mention
Unfortunately it's that terrible time of the year, school is back on.
This school year, Patton has a new class and Yvette has a new teacher so you can guess how they were when they finished the first week of being back. I'll give you a hint, what would it look like if your soul left your body. Yeah, now imagine what Yvette and Patton look like now.
"Kiddo, you can go take a nap if you want," Patton murmured as they both were slung on the couch like dead bodies.
She hummed as she walked like a zombie to her room to take a well earned nap. It would take a while for those two to get used to this.
Patton thought back to a while ago, that moment, that thought that he wanted to marry Logan. Honestly, imagine what he would be saying 2 years ago if he found this out. Jesus, so much had changed with him and so much will continue to change because nothing ever stays the same.
Late last night, he was researching good ring shops. He'd come across a good few of them but only a few were nearby. He'd decided a few days ago while on the web to do something special for Logan. Like how people used to propose with swords, obviously Patton wasn't going to get Logan a sword but maybe something small with a sword on it, like a necklace.
Though, he'd consider an actual mini sword for it though. Maybe a long sword or maybe a katana or even perhaps a claymore. Patton was leaning more towards the long swords though.
"Logan! I'm going out for a bit okay?" Patton called up the stairs after reinflating from sofa. "Yvette's taking a nap by the way!"
"Alright! Where are you going anyway?" Logan asked, peeking his head though his door and coming downstairs.
His smile was as warm as the sun as his lips pecked Patton's, "Just down town, might get myself some chocolate and get more cookies, we're running out,"
"And that's because you keep muching on them amica mea," Logan teased as he kissed Patton again, "Remeber to be home before dinner, you have a habit of losing track of time,"
"Alright Lo, love you bye!" Patton told Logan as he skipped over to put his shoes on before leaving the house.
It wasn't raining. Well it's Florida, it never rains. Patton walked down the street, looking at his phone every so often at google maps since he was bad at directions. The shop was close by and they did custom necklaces and rings so it was useful for that.
But nothing prepared Patton for the look of the person's face when he asked for a mini sword partnered with a coloured image of the scabard which was coloured in several different shades of blue and a small black string wrapped around it tied with a bow.
"Oh, well thank you," She blinked several times as she looked at the image, it wasn't the best, but it also wasn't the worst she'd seen, "It'll be $1,100 for this, anything else?" She asked.
"Um could I get a golden ring with a custom engravement please?" Patton asked awkwardly, unsure if he phrased that correctly or not.
"Alright..." She tallied the cost into the register, "$1,563," she announced to Patton, "You can get the ring in 3-4 days and the sword charm in around a month,"
Patton nodded as he paid for the items, then he passed her a slip of paper with the words he wanted engraved into the ring. "Here," He told her with a kind smile.
"Thank you, also could we get your number so we can text you when your items are ready?" She asked.
Once more he nodded and took out a pen, then proceed to write his number at the bottom of the page with the words he wanted engraved. After he wrote it, he carefully tore the paper in half and put it back on the table.
"Alright thank you, the store number is over there by the way, have a nice day," She told him.
Patton left the store giving the cashier a friendly wave goodbye as he decided to go over to the local walmart to get the chocolate and the cookies. Let's hope he won't go over board with how many cookies he bought...
                              ...he went overboard.
"Hey I'm home!" Patton announced to the household. He'd only been out for a good hour and a half so he didn't do too bad.
Yvette had woken up from her nap and looked more alive than before, currently she was doing homework that was set by her new teacher: Mrs Jones. She covered for him when he broke down during school many months ago, it meant so much to him that day. Patton couldn't ask for a nicer person to teacher Yvette. Although, her teaching methods were extremely different from Patton's so adjusting was difficult for the entire class.
Logan was currently helping her, she'd begrudgingly allowed him as she was really stuck. However, Logan was also keeping an eye on their dinner. "Amare...."
"Yessssssssssss Lo?" Patton giggled realising how much cookies he'd got.
"....was there at least a good deal for them?" Logan asked, rubbing his temples as Yvette did a question. She tapped him soon to grab his attention to help.
Patton chuckled awkwardly, knowing very well the cookies costed the exact same as any other day, "At least we won't have to buy more for a while...?" He tried shining some light upon his lack of impulse control.
Small laughter came from Logan as he listened to Yvette's struggles with the homework. "Alright, but don't buy anymore for at least a month,"
                              "Awh why?" Patton sulked dramatically.
"You're setting a bad example for our daughter," Logan chuckled as Yvette began to correct her initial formula.
A loud gasp came from the man in the kitchen, Patton literally jumped over to the breakfast bar, "That's the first time you've called her our daughter!" Patton squeeled.
Logan grimanced as a blush appeared on his face. He stared at his thumbs, "...it is?" He asked smally.
"Awwwwww that's adorable," Patton's grinned brightly as Yvette's ears became redder as she squinted more at the homework she was doing. ".....I shoulda picked up a kettle..."
Logan laughed like a dork as he held his head in hand, "How....How could you forg...forget that!" He mustered through his laughter.
"Well, less coffee for you," Patton smirked.
"Oh sweet dear Patton, Starbucks is right around the corner," Logan informed him cockily. He took a glance at his watch before standing up and joining Patton in the kitchen.
Quickly, he kissed Patton before turning off the oven and grabbing the plates out of the cupboard. Soon all of the food was dished up and ready to be eaten, "Yvette, you can finish your math after dinner," Logan told her as he placed the plate in front of the booklet.
"I don't have to because I just finished it," She announced, pushing the booklet to one side as Logan put his and Patton's plates in their spots.
Patton walked out of the kitchen to the breakfast bar whilst saying, "You better not have rushed it, just because you have a new teacher doesn't mean I'll let you forget my classes,"
"I'd never want to forget your classes, they were fun," Yvette told him as she shoved some food into her mouth.
Logan put the utensils into the washing up bowl for them to cool and wait until they all cleaned everything after dinner. "Don't talk with your mouth full," Logan scolded as he went to join them in eating.
She rolled her eyes as she took another lot of food and consumed it.
