Got into a Fight

James Matthias Roche is my name and I'm 8 years old. I am the only biological son of Jake Roche and Jesy Nelson.

James's POV: I've been suspended for 2 weeks after getting into a brutal and physical fight with one of my friends who told everyone about my very personal secret. I enter my house, after taking the 10 minute walk back to my house, regretting every step I take. Where I come face to face with my mother.
"James Matthias Roche, you are in massive trouble, young man." My mum scolds me. "Do you know how upset I was when I got that call from your headmaster Mr Phillips, hearing that my son has got into a fight?" I just look down in embarrassment and mutter "Well, he started it."
"Get to your bedroom, now." She demands and I hang my rucksack and head up to my bedroom with my head hung low.

In his bedroom: I take my school shoes off, following with my uniform. I slip on my dad's hoodie that he gave to me and a pair of sweatpants. I then inspect my wound that the kid gave me. A massive scratch on my stomach that is sore to the touch. I begin to hear my dad's footsteps coming up the stairs and then my bedroom door opens up.
"Hey, son." He greets me but notices my silence. "I heard from your mother that you got into a fight with one of the other lads in your year."
"Yeah, you here to yell at me too?" I ask, not paying too much attention to him.
"No, I just wanted to ask about what exactly happened..." He speaks softly before sitting on my bed.
"I was having a huge argument with one of the kids at school when they turned around and belted me in the face, so I beat them the hell up." I explain truthfully.
"So, he was the one whom initiated the altercation?" He asks and I nod. "Well, I would just say that you just were defending yourself eh?"
"That's what I tried to explain to the head but no, mister ol' suck up had to get his way." I mock the other kid.
