Hi, I'm Mackenzie Elizabeth Thalia Gray, the 11 year old and youngest daughter of Andre Anthony Gray and Leigh-Anne Gray. I have a big brother named Kai Christopher Matteo Gray who's 14 and a elder sister who's 19 named Arianna Hollie Tabitha Gray.
Mackenzie's POV: Being born the socially awkward member of the Gray family hasn't always been the best thing in the world. I have 3 best friends through my mum named Lily Jade + Charlotte Jean Stephens and Hannah Louise Oxlade-Chamberlain, they're really nice but as I enter secondary school, I'm fearing that will change as they become more popular and I just dwindle at the bottom of that slippery social ladder.
Today is our first day of Year 7 and the teacher is currently going around the class having everybody introduce themselves and I'm getting really anxious, what if everybody teases me? What if I never make any more friends? Am I just gonna be a social outcast forever?
"And what about you there?" The teacher points to me, I stand up averting all eye contact from the teacher.
"H-hi, I'm Mackenzie Gray and I like singing." I stammer on my words, hands shaking with pure nervousness. The teacher nods and I immediately sit down, I can feel everyone's eyes on me and hear a few snickers as the teacher goes down the line.
"It's alright, Kenzie." Lily comforts me, patting my back. "We understand how difficult that was for you and we're here for you." Her smile gives me a bit of happiness and I attempt to replicate her expression but I simply can't.
Throughout the next two hours, I'm sitting in the same seat as the teacher goes through all of the information that we are gonna need for this year. I am honestly just zoning out throughout the entire thing and can't recall a single thing that she said.
At breaktime, I'm just waiting for my friends when two boys come up to me, both with snarky smiles tugged on their lips. Both with brunette hair and expensive-looking bags slung around their shoulders, limp. I look up at them and cock my head.
"Can I help you?" I ask, nervously biting my tounge.
"So, heard your daddy plays for Watford, amirite?" The slightly taller one sits next to me and states. "Dreadful team, isn't it T?"
"Who are you to speak about my dad like that?" I ask, trying to sound aggressive but they just laugh at me, taking a massive hit to my confidence.
"I'm Tobias Xavier Malik and this is my twin brother Terrence." The boy eventually tells me. "Sons of Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid, your little friends mum's ex-fiance and now she's with that dumbass Oxlade-Chamberlain who can't go a season without breaking his leg."
"What did you say about my dad, mate?" Hannah appears behind him, crossing her arms with a enraged expression on her face. "My dad is and always be a better partner for my mam."
"Where's the ring then, huh?" Terrence speaks up, Hannah's parents aren't married just yet which makes her glare at him. "Get over yourself, Oxlade-Chamberlain. You're not right about one thing and that my dad knows how to treat a woman right..."
"Your father dumped her mother over a fucking text message, how bloody pathetic can he get?" Charlotte stands up for Hannah, protectively. "Who are you to say that to her like that?"
"And just who are you all? In fact, why are you standing up for this bitch?!" Tobias exclaims, looking at us all.
"Lily and Charlotte Stephens, daughters of Jordan and Jade Stephens. Hannah Oxlade-Chamberlain, daughter of Alexander Oxlade-Chamberlain and Perrie Edwards and this 'bitch' is my little sister Mackenzie Gray, daughter of Andre and Leigh-Anne Gray." My elder brother appears behind him along with his two friends: Sebastian Oxlade-Chamberlain, Hannah's big brother and Robert-James Pinnock, our cousin. "They are standing up for Mackenzie because they've known each other since they were in nursery."
8 years ago, Mackenzie's POV: I'm just playing on the floor with mummy when daddy appears, carrying Kai.
"Leigh, Perrie is here for Kai's playdate with Sebastian so she wants Kenzie to meet her daughter Hannah." Dada tells mama and she nods. "I'll let them in."
"Hear that, princess? You're gonna meet your cousin Hannah." Mummy tells me, rubbing my back.
"Hey, Leigh." Auntie Perrie walks into the room, with this Hannah in her arms. "Baby girl, this is Mackenzie."
"Hey, Pez." Mummy greets her, tapping my arm. "Princess, go say hi to Hannah." I reluctantly stand up and head over to the little blonde girl with brown eyes.
Leigh-Anne's POV: We watch our two little girls playing together so sweetly, I can tell that they are gonna be best friends with all the smiles and heart-warming giggles.
"They're adorable together, aren't they?" Perrie asks me, smiling at them. I nod and the grin can't dissappear from my face. "They remind me of our friendship: Me, you and our poopy."
"How so?" I inquire, looking at her.
"Just how quickly they became friends takes me back to the first time that we met, back on X-Factor. Walking into that room and seeing your lovely face was one of the best days of my life." She continues, making me feel so special. "I love you both more than anything and that makes me want them to be best friends as well." Then I come up with a idea in an instant.
"Why don't we invite Jade over and the two of them can meet her daughters?" I suggest, sitting up. "They could be the Littler Mix."
After convincing Jade to come over and bring her daughters with them, we all just watch over our little ones and chatting about everything that relates to Little Mix or parenting.
"I honestly think that we are seeing the new generation of Little Mix here, girls." Jade tells us, making us all smile. "We're like one big family."
"We already were, our children each call the other members 'Auntie' and Kai and Sebastian see each other as brothers already. Now we just need our boyfriends to pop the question and it'll be forever." Perrie replies, jokingly looking down at her empty hand.
"If I have to guess, I think Leigh's gonna be the first to marry, I've seen how Andre looks at her and it's honestly so precious." Jade bets, giggling and nudging my shoulder in a playful tone.
"You bet? I think that your Jordan is gonna popping the question not long from now." I raise my eyebrows at her, making all of us chuckle like primary school children. "You have babies, marriage doesn't seem impossible at this point."
"Me and Jordan have only been together for 5 years, you two have been with your fellas for 8-9 years now." Jade laughs, heartily.
"We're gonna all end up as Mrs. Stephens, Oxlade-Chamberlain and Gray respectfully." Perrie adds, smiling. "Can't wait for that day to come..."
Present day: Tobias and Terrence back away from us with a smug expression on their faces.
"You don't mess with my sister's or my respective families, mate." Kai tells him, cracking his knuckles as they walk off. "You mess with them and I won't hesitate to kick your asses." At this point, we consider us as a family and there's no point messing with one of us because if you mess with us, you mess with the rest of our family.
"Just forget about him, sis." Kai tells me before he and his friends walk off. "There's no point interacting with people like him."
