Hi, I'm Amira Elizabeth Craske, the 7 year old daughter of Sam Craske and Jade Amelia Thirlwall.

Amira's POV: 6 years ago, my daddy dumped my mammy. It was after a intense argument about their future together and the image of him walking out the door has stayed in my mind for years... This has also resulted me not trusting any guy who dates my mam, especially not the last one that mam had.

His name was Jed Elliot, he treated me like I wasn't there and ignored me at all times and I was like a object to him. He would force me to do chores and lied to mam about why there are bruises all across my body.

Luckily they broke up last year and from then on, it's just been me and mam. Well, that is until recently when mam started dating this one dude named Jordan Stephens, he seems quite nice from the way they talk over the phone.
"Pumpkin, can you come to mama for a second? I need to talk to you." Mam shouts from downstairs, I get up from my bed and head downstairs to see my mam and Jordan standing at the door.
"This is my boyfriend Jordan and he's gonna be staying around for a couple nights to get to know you a bit." Mam tells me to which I look him up and down.
"Are you sure about this, mam? I don't want you to get hurt again..." I admit, looking at her. "Is Jordan gonna be like Jed?"
"I promise to you, princess. Jordan is gonna be nothing like him, he has told me that he wants to be on good terms with you and treat you like his own daughter." She replies kneeling down in front of me, but I'm a bit skeptical of this guy. However, I really don't wanna upset my mam so I'll give him a chance.
"Okay, mam." I respond, smiling.
"Thank you, princess." She tells me, kissing my forehead. "So why don't you two get to know each other whilst I make us a cup of tea? I'll make you a hot chocolate."

In the living room: I sit down on the sofa with Jordan, so far he seems better than Jed but that could change in a instant in the near future.
"Your mum has told me a lot about you, it seems like you two have a very strong bond." Jordan tells me, looking at all the photos.
"Well, I've had to keep a closer bond with mum, she's been through so much and I just don't want her to be treated badly by a guy." I reply.
"I promise on my heart that I will treat your mum with all the respect and make her feel like a queen... and if you are willing to accept me into your life, I will treat you the exact same way and treat you if you are my daughter." He promises, hopefully. "So, what are you into?"

"Not much really, I mostly enjoy painting, singing and reading." I reveal, scoffing at myself. "Sounds really boring, doesn't it?"
"I don't think it's boring, what book are you reading?" He asks.
"Harry Potter and The Order Of The Phoenix and it's bloody brilliant." I recite the book's title.
"Oh, so you're into Harry Potter, are you? I have been wanting to get into them but just never had the time to." He explains.
"Well, I have the films if you're interested in having a movie marathon with me?" I suggest, standing up and heading over to the DVDs.
"Sure, why not?" He replies. "Do you need some help with the DVD player?" I shake my head and set up the film.

"What are you two doing th-" Mam walks into the room before being shushed by me and Jordan simultaneously as I continue to recite every single line from Harry Potter and The Philosophers Stone.

Halfway through Harry Potter and The Prisoner Of Askaban, Jordan's POV: I am so invested in this film that I have barely been listening to my girlfriend's attempts of getting my attention.
"I love seeing you bonding over Harry Potter with her, babe." Jade whispers into my ear. "It's her main source of comfort and happiness, to see somebody other than me having the same interests as my daughter is so sweet to see."
"Just wanted to bond over something that we are both interested in." I respond, not taking my attention off the screen.

Jade then notices that Amira is cuddled into me and smoulders at the sight.

Jade's POV: It's honestly so damn heart-warming to see Amira already having such a connection to Jordan despite only meeting this morning. He reminds me so much of Amira's dad in a way because Sam loved Amira more than anything but his insecurities took over and that made him think that he wasn't a good enough father to her. Sam does normally  come for visits once a month but in the past 2 months, it's like he has completely forgotten about her.

To see such a beautiful and genuinely adorable father-daughter bond to fizzle out all of a sudden had a hard impact on Amira so that's why she's never really been too invested in me dating. She never liked Jed because of how neglectful he was towards her whenever I wasn't home and I didn't notice for 3 long years makes me think that I'm a terrible mother sometimes.

But so far with Jordan, it's different, as if Jordan secretly is the reincarnation of Sam. And here's hoping that this bond continues...

3 years later Jordan's POV: I've been in Amira's life for 3 long years and lemme tell you that the years have been the best years of my entire life. We are currently on holiday and I am thinking of asking Jade to marry me but I feel that it's right for me to ask Amira for her permission.
"Amira, honey, can I talk to you? I knock on her bedroom door, her head pops up and she directly looks at me.
"Yeah, what is it?" She replies, smiling at me as I sit down on her bed. She shifts her body to be sitting next to her.
"I've been in your life for the last 3 years now, and there's a question that I've been wanting to ask you for a while..." I tell her, looking at her. "I wanted to know if I have the permission to marry your mum?" A smile begins to tug at her lips and she nods.

"One exception is that you keep that promise that you made to me 3 years ago, that you'll treat her with all the respect and make her feel like the queen that she is." She tells me, getting a little defensive.
"I will keep that promise and I'll never break it, and I won't forget about the other end of the promise... I'll treat you like a princess and my own little girl but only if you want me to." I respond, crossing my heart.
"Then, you have my permission to marry my mum." She tells me, grinning.

Later that evening, I have taken Jade and Amira out for dinner and now we're just strolling along a small pier.
"It's beautiful out here, isn't it?" Jade tells us, looking out to the ocean. I smile at her before looking down at Amira with her eyes meeting mine.
"Baby, there's something that I've been meaning to ask you... I got permission from Amira to do this." I tell Jade, grabbing ahold of her hand before getting down on one knee.

"Jade Amelia Thirlwall, I love you more than anything in this entire world. There's nobody that I wanna spend the rest of my life with so therefore I wanna know if you will marry me?" I ask, pulling out a ring from my pocket.
"Yes, I will!" She replies, happily and pulls me into a kiss.

A few months later, Amira's POV: They got married in a beautiful ceremony with not one dry eye in the audience. I'm just watching them have their first dance as a married couple, it's truly special to see. I'm not paying 100% of my attention until I hear Jordan call my name.
"Can Amira Elizabeth Craske come here please?" He invites me so I get up and head over to them.
"A little over 4 years ago, I met this beautiful little girl by the name of Amira and gosh, did she steal my heart in an instant? She reminds me so much of her mother that they are practically twins." Jordan tells everybody before turning to me. "So, 6 months ago when I asked your mum to marry me, there was another question on my mind but I decided to hold it back til today. This question could be life-changing so I want you to answer honestly... Amira Elizabeth Craske, will you make me the happiest dad in the world and let me adopt you?" I nod enthusiastically and hug him no longer as Amira Elizabeth Craske but now as Amira Elizabeth Stephens and I wouldn't have it any other way...

(This made me cry 🥺😢)
