⚠️Trigger Warning: panic attacks⚠️
Hi, I'm Charlie Hayden Oxlade-Chamberlain, I'm 11 years old and the eldest child of Alex and Perrie Oxlade-Chamberlain. I have a 8 year old little sister named Peyton Louise Oxlade-Chamberlain.
Charlie's POV: Can we just make it clear real quick? I have a massive fear of clowns and suffer from severe anxiety and panic attacks. So a mix of clowns and anxiety don't go down well.
"Hey, kiddo. How about we watch a film? There's been one I know you'll adore!" My dad walks into the room, grinning.
"Sure, what we watching?" I nod, sitting up and putting my phone down.
"A surprise, but you are gonna love it. It was my favourite as a child!" Dad enthusiastically tells me. I chuckle and roll my eyes before saying "You turn it on, I'm gonna grab a drink." He nods, switching the dvd player on.I find mam, washing up from lunch. "Hi, mama." I greet her, grabbing a cup. "Me and daddy are gonna watch a film if you wanna come and join us. It's apparently one of daddy's favourites from when he was a kid." I fill it up with water.
"Of course, I'll join you in a second." She replies, shaking her hands off. I grin and head back into the room and read 'IT' on the television. I have heard of it but have no clue what's it about though. Oh boy, how I seriously regret watching this!A few minutes later, Perrie's POV: It takes me a few minutes to realise what this film is. I tap my husband's shoulder and whisper "You sure about this, Alex?" He nods, confidently. "He'll be fine, I promise" It's just when the clown appears on the screen where I can just sense Charlie's fright as he hides in my shirt.
"NO, CLOWN!" He yells, terror reigning in his voice "I DON'T LIKE IT!".
"Alex, turn it off, immediately!" I demand as he begins sobbing. Alex switches the television off.
"It's gone now, baby." I tell him, softly. His breathing pattern becomes way more quicker as he starts panicking. "Charlie, copy mummy's breathing." I tell him, bending down in front of him, holding both of his hands. "Breathe with me, darling." I demonstrate and eventually his breathing becomes more regular. I wipe the tears that have fallen on his cheeks.
"I wan' Ozzy" He tells me, referencing his comfort stuffie that helps him calm down. Alex hurries to Charlie's bedroom and walks in, handing the stuffie to Charlie.
"Daddy's sorry, I forgot you hated clowns." Alex apologises, sweetly.
"It's okay, just no more clowns please" He sniffs.I'm throwing that film out when I get my hands on it.
