Hi, I'm Jacob Kaiden Pinnock. I'm 9 years old and I'm the eldest adopted son of Leigh-Anne Pinnock. She also adopted my 7 year old little brother Louis Bradley Pinnock.
⚠️Contains racism⚠️Jacob's POV: Let me get something across first, me and my little brother are both caucasian, we were born to caucasian parents who weren't able to take care of us, so they did the right thing by giving us up. We got adopted by Leigh-Anne Pinnock from Little Mix soon after and we treat and love her as if she's our real mum. Today, we're celebrating Louis's 7th birthday by going out to eat at our favourite restaurant.
"Louis, sweetheart. What do you want to eat?" Mum questions my little brother who still seems to be deciding.
"I don't quite know yet, mummy." Louis admits "Can you help me pick, please?" As they begin to look through the menu, I can just spot 2 middle age women staring at us. I wonder what they want but just ignore them.
"Jacob, darling have you decided what you'd like?" Mum questions.
"Can I get the-" I begin but can't seem to pronounce a word.
"The chicken fajitas?" She asks me and I nod "Alright, you alright with ordering or d'ya want me to do it?" I nod towards her before glancing back at the women, who are still staring at our table.
"Mum, there's a pair of ladies who keep staring at us" I tell my mum, who looks behind her and spots the two women and questions "Can I help you at all?"Leigh's POV: I look at these two wrinkled ladies who look about 46 years old and just ask, politely "Can I help you at all?"
And then one lady replies with "Just watching over you and those children".
"We're perfectly fine, aren't we lads?" I reply.
"Yeah, mama. We're fine." Jacob tells me.
"How exactly do you know those two children, huh?" The other lady asks me so obviously I'm gonna reply politely "Oh, they are my adopted children.". This woman then has the audacity to speak to Louis "Honey, you can tell me if you don't know this woman".
"No, I do know her. She's my amazing and gorgeous mummy" Louis replies, sweetly. I smile.
"Just the three of you doesn't feel natural, I'm uncomfortable with this situation." She tells me, bitchy.
"If you aren't comfortable, then leave." I respond, honestly. "Just because I don't have the same colour skin as them, don't mean shit." I stand up for myself.
"It's a bad image, sweetheart. Wouldn't it look much better if you were white?" The girl laughs, before I can say anything, Jacobs stands up and defends me "Hey, you don't talk to my mama like that!"
"Let the adults talk, sweetheart." She tells Jacob, rudely. I am beyond pissed that this woman has the audacity to tell my kid that.
"You don't speak to my son like that, bitch." I defend my son. "If you have a problem with my son, you discuss it with me."
"What a image! You want your 'kids' to follow your actions. I am calling the bloody police" The woman threatens, before pulling out her phone, taking a picture of my kids and I before calling the police.
"Are you actually kidding me right now?" I exclaim, flabbergasted.
"Mama, what's going on?" Louis questions, worry across his face.
"I dunno, darling. This lady is calling the police because of what I look like."Jacob's POV: I am just staring, disgusted as this lady calls the police. I just get out of my seat and head over to the ladies table.
"What is your problem, huh?" I ask this lady, but she just ignores me. The other woman just stares at me and demands, aggressively "Get away from our table, you little shit."
"Both of you bitches make me absolutely sick, you don't disrespect my mum." I tell them, making both their jaws both drop, me a 9 year old boy just called them a rude name. I begin to walk away when the lady who was calling my mum rude names, grabs the back of my shirt and lifts me up.
"Get off me!" I yell. Mum just walks up to her and demands "Get your filthy hands off of my son, now." The lady drops me and my mum picks me up.
"You can say what you want to me but nobody talks to my children like that" Mum raises her voice at the horrible lady, whilst cuddling me.But then the woman goes way too far and laughs "People like you shouldn't be associated with people like us"
"How fucking dare you!?" Mum snaps at her, shocked. "That's discrimination!"
"Someone call the police! This n**** is threatening me!" This bitch jokes, making her little friend burst out laughing. Mum puts me down and a waitress walks over, breaking mum and this racist up.
"What is going on over here?" She questions.
"This lady just called my mumma the n-word!" I speak up, upset pointing at the lady.
"Get out of this restaurant immediately, we do not accept any discrimination here!" The waitress snaps at the two ladies. They leave in a huff. The kind waitress turns to us and says "We caught that all on tape and we would like to pay for your guys's meal. I apologise deeply for their disrespect"
"Thank you very much for that!" Mum replies, smiling and we retake our seats and enjoy the rest of our meals.
