(Honestly got this idea after watching Bondi Rescue which is a tv show about lifeguarding and is quite entertaining ngl)
Hi, I'm Charlie Matthew Daniel Oxlade-Chamberlain, the 11 year old son of Alexander David Mark Oxlade-Chamberlain and Perrie Louise Edwards. I have 2 younger brothers named Jesse Alexander Johnathon Oxlade-Chamberlain who's 9 and William Bradley Christopher Oxlade-Chamberlain who's 4.
Perrie's POV: We're taking a 2 week vacation to New Zealand since it's the summer holidays. Alex is currently teaching Charlie and Jesse how to surf as William just stays in the shade with me. I put my book down and my son just cuddles up into me, Will has never really been a water baby and just prefers to stay on the sand building sandcastles.
But then something catches my eye in the distance, I see Alex and Chaz walking out of the sea with a look of severe pain on my boy's face and then Jesse follows behind carrying the surfboards.
"Willie, stay with mumma for a second." I instruct, patting his bum making him get up. I rush over to Charlie and just witness him double over in pain.
"We've got a severe shoulder injury right now." Alex informs me, I inspect the injury and notice his collarbone out of place. "I'm gonna go see the lifeguards, you keep an eye on Jess and Willie."
Alex's POV: I follow my son up the steps and into the lifeguard tower.
"Can we get a bit of assistance here, my son has injured his shoulder a bit" I tell the lifeguards whom get up immediately and come over.
"That looks painful, come over here and I'll inspect it." A lifeguard with long hair tells Charlie before assisting him onto a examination bed and beginning to carefully examine the shoulder. "Looks like a severely dislocated shoulder, what's your name?"
"Charlie" My son responds.
"Charlie, my name is PJ and that man over there is Donovan. You from around here?" The lifeguards inquires.
"No, we're from England, on holiday here." I respond, nodding.
"I'm trained in relocating limbs, I deal with this kind of thing every single day. But never this severe. How did this happen?" PJ asks Charlie.
"I was on my board and a massive wave came making me flip off my board and smash into some nearby rock" Charlie explains, thoroughly. "I'm genuinely surprised that I didn't end up doing something worse" He chuckles, slightly.
"Alright, I'm going to try and relocate this shoulder of yours, if it's not possible, we'll have to send you to the emergency room." PJ explains, standing up. "This will be quite painful so you can grip onto Donovan's hand, they are like steel." Despite being in excruciating pain, Charlie still has a positive attitude and has barely complained.
PJ then tries to relocate Charlie's shoulder, making my boy's face scrunch up. And then miraculously, we hear a pop and Charlie's shoulder goes back into place, making him let out a breath of relief.
"There we go, PJ is a superhero!" PJ celebrates "The shoulder is back in place but you may still experience pain so we're gonna stabalise that arm for a couple days using a sling."
Charlie's POV: With a sling on my right shoulder, I thank the kind lifeguards and dad leads me out. I walk down the stairs and mam is there with a worried expression before inquiring "You okay, darling? What happened?"
"The lifeguard got his shoulder back in place and he just needs to rest it for a few days and he'll be good as gold." Dad explains. "Why don't we head out to a restaurant and then back to the holiday park?"
Not how I wanted my 2nd day of holidays to go but could have been 100x worse.
