Meet Your New Step-Mother

Hi, I'm Raeni Aayla Gray. I'm 7 years old and the only daughter of André Gray, cause I don't know whom my real mum actually is.

Raeni's POV: "Raeni, princess. Can you come here for me?" I hear my daddy call out for me. I hop off my bed and head downstairs.
"What is it, daddy?" I reply as I reach the bottom step.
"I want you to meet your new step-mum" He tells me, pointing to a beautiful lady standing next to him. I study every feature of her, from the brown eyes to her tanned skin. I smile at this lady and wave.
"Hi, there." I greet her, politely.
"Leigh, this is my 7 year old daughter Raeni Aayla Gray, Raeni, this is my girlfriend Leigh-Anne." Daddy introduces us to each other.
"It's very nice to meet you, love" She tells me with a nice, warm smile plastered on her face.
"Thank you, you are very pretty." I compliment her, nicely.
"I wonder where she gets it, honestly" Daddy tells Leigh-Anne who laughs. "How about I make us some tea and you two can get to know each other?" Daddy suggests and Leigh-Anne agrees. I pipe up with "Can I have a hot choccy, daddy?" He chuckles and nods.

Leigh-Anne's POV: It's very clear that Raeni definitely has André wrapped around her finger, she is honestly such a delight to be around.
"So, what was your name again?" Raeni asks, innocently "I kinda forgot"
"It's Leigh-Anne, sweetheart." I reply, grinning. "So, do you wanna tell me what you're into?"
"I really like going to the beach or to visit nana and papa! I also really like music especially Christmas music!" She replies, making my heart flutter with her adorableness.
"What do you like doing with your nana or papa?" I inquire, smiling
"I like cooking with nana, she makes it so fun!" She replies, excitedly.

André's POV: Carrying a cup of tea and a cup of hot chocolate in each hand, I enter the room to find my two favourite girls getting on really well, making me beam.
"What are you two on about, then?" I ask the two of them, sitting down next to Leigh-Anne. Raeni crawls onto my lap, laying her head on my lap. I smile at her, making her laugh.
"Oh, just what she likes doing" Leigh tells me, grinning. "She is a very lovely girl, darling. You have definitely got a sweetheart on your hands here." I nod, kissing her cheek.

2 years later, Raeni's POV: So, last year after they dated for 3 years, daddy popped the question. But despite knowing Leigh-Anne for 2 years and getting really comfortable around her, I still haven't embraced her fully as my new mummy. Welcome to the Bahamas, a beautiful country and also the destination that Daddy is finally gonna make ! I cannot wait!
"I pronounce you husband and wife, you may kiss the bride!" The officiant announces, beaming. They go in for the kiss making me hilariously begin to gag, daddy notices this and comments "Princess, I'll remember that and at your wedding, I'll do the same thing" making everyone burst out into laughter.

At the wedding cermony: I pull out my mini speech that I prepared with nana, I step up to the microphone and say "Excuse me, I'd like to make a toast?" Everyone's eyes revert to me so I begin "When I was little, I thought true love only happened in stories between a noble prince and a damsel in distress but... there is no love story that is any better than the one between my daddy and Leigh-Anne. Growing up, I didn't know what it was like to have a motherly figure in my life due to absence of my mummy, but now I love Leigh-Anne just like if she was my real mummy. What I'm trying to say is..." I put the sheet down "I love you, mummy". The crowd awws at the end of the speech. Mummy hops off her chair and pulls me into a warm embrace before taking the microphone from me.

"I love you so much more, my angel. Leading on from that, there's something that I wanna say..." She tells me, pulling out her own little sheet "On the first day that I met you 2 years ago, I was introduced to this amazing, beautiful and polite little girl and I immediately loved her to bits, her name was Raeni Aayla Gray. Every single day, I loved her more and more til this day where she feels like biological family to me. Now, I feel like she is my blood and hope it's vice versa, but I'll never in a million years forget the brilliant little one I met that day, so on that note, me and your daddy's family have been talking about the future of us as a family and we've came to a conclusion" There is a brief pause as she pulls out a piece of paper then she continues "I would like to officially adopt you as my daughter" Tears begin to spew out of both our eyes and even daddy's eyes.
"My angel, will you make me the happiest lady alive and be my daughter?" She asks, not one dry eye in the room. Not able to answer, I nod and just give her a massive hug to which she lifts me into her arms with daddy joining the group hug seconds later.

"One more surprise for the both of you" Mummy whispers "I'm pregnant" My eyes widen and so do daddys!
"I'm gonna be a big sister!" I cheer, happily!

BEST DAY OF MY ENTIRE LIFE, YAAAAAAY!
