Hi, I'm Jacob Robert Edwards, it's my 9th birthday today. I'm the only child of Perrie Edwards.
Jacob's POV: I sit at the end of the table in this crowded restaurant, I invited a couple of my 'friends' for a nice party at my favourite restaurant but so far not one guest has shown up...
"I'm sure they're just running a little late, sweetheart." My mam tries to comfort me, looking over the empty table covered in party hats and paper plates.
"Or maybe they didn't decide to show up for other reasons?" I mutter, quietly. "Maybe they aren't really my friends, I'd rather just go back home". I hop out my chair and just walk into the boys bathroom, lock myself in a stall and just let the silent tears flow.
Perrie's POV: I just feel my heart shatter when watching Jacob walking into the boys bathroom, these kids don't understand how much effort he went into writing all the invites and planning all this just for everyone to not bother to show up. I sigh, hopelessly but then a lady asks me, sweetly "Is there anything that we can do to help your son? We'll gladly come and join your little party" Then without me saying a word, their family come and sit at the table with warm smiles, and then two kids decide to join.
"Thank you so much" I grin at their act of kindness, now time to wait for Jacob to come back out.
Jacob's POV: I wipe my tears and wash my face before deciding to head back to our deserted table but then I notice the table full of strangers. The corners of my mouth turn upwards into a massive grin, as I make my way back to my seat.
"We heard it's a certain somebody's birthday!" A lady exclaims, happily. "We can't let a boy go unhappy on his birthday, can we?" I grin and celebrate with a group of very nice people. Then the man speaks up and asks "We were heading to the bowling alley after this, would you two like to join us?" I look at my mam and she nods.
