"Fitz, we all hate they're gone. You more than most, because of what they meant to you, but you can't blame yourself. They would hate that. You realize the last thing they said was 'don't blame yourself'. Don't let their words go to waste."
"But- but I can't! I can't stop seeing it, I can't stop thinking about how I could have saved them! If I had just-" Fitz leans over, his shaking hands framing his golden head. "I can't just let it go." He stands back up, his eyes shining with tears, not able to meet Coulson's eyes. Coulson reaches out to reassure Fitz, and rests his hand on Fitz's shoulder.
"I'm not asking you to let it go. I'm asking you to tell me you won't believe it could've been any different." Fitz looks up, dragging his hand over his mouth, down his face, before letting it rest on his hip, still not meeting Coulson's eyes.
"Okay." He says finally, and the welled up tears begin to fall from his eyes.
"I just miss them so much." Coulson wraps his arms around Fitz.
