— Part 1: Begin! —

You decided you'd done enough research for one night and headed out to your balcony window. You had your phone with you as well, contemplating if you should make a call or not.

Your thumb hovered over the contact, though you chose against calling him. The second hero on the case had been fairly inactive after the Kyushu incident.

Both were hospitalised, though Hawks was released before Endeavour, due to the former only having minor injuries. Eventhough he was back on the field, he did nothing.

The man had been well informed, both by Tsukauchi and you had told him all the details, though he did nothing to help move your case further along.

Worst of all, there hadn't been any other sightings of Toga or missing people recently, which left you at a dead end.

The only good thing that came out of this is that Eraserhead had dismissed you as his sidekick, making you a licensed part time hero.

Crime rate had increased astoundingly, even after Endeavour's amazing debut. No one seemed to get the gist that the hero would go to extreme lengths to protect the citizens of the country.

Sighing, you looked down, (e/c) eyes glowing with mild hues of pinks and orange as the sun rose above the city.

You noticed multiple cars the size of ants already on the road, headlights on as the drivers headed to work so early in the morning.

There were cyclists and bikers as well, with a few people jogging on the road.

One of these maniacs, was your friend, Midoriya Izuku.

He was a hard working greenette with a strong build for a 16 year old. The boy had more determination and ambition than almost everyone you'd ever known.

Considering he'd inherited One for All, you weren't surprised to see him training at the ungodly hour.

While you didn't know all the details, you knew of the amount of control it took to tame the quirk. It took the greenette himself over a month to get it right, and he'd been trained by the number one hero himself.

Though one particular detail suggested the greenette wasn't training.

His body language was extremely tense, matched by his facial expression. The boy evidently wasn't training, however he was using it as an outlet to whatever had trouble him.

You assumed it had something to do with last night, where you heard glass breaking from the boy's wing.

The first to investigate was Midoriya's neighbour, Aoyama, though you'd rushed over as quickly as possible as well.

He was evidently shaken, shocked that you'd heard him from all the way on the other side of the building. Though his worry went away quickly when you explained your window was open all night, letting in fresh air and city noise alike.

Sighing, you changed out of your pyjamas and into your school uniform, wanting to investigate on your friend's case.

By the time you reached the U.A gates, completely dressed, Midoriya had already returned and was drinking water.

"Good morning," you greeted the boy, walking over to him.

He was surprised to see you fully dressed at 6:30, but even more shocked when you'd decided to wear a blazer.

Usually, your attire consisted of the school shirt and pants, or a skirt if you'd felt good enough. In winter, however, you'd upgraded to wearing the shirt along with a blazer, and pants or stockings under your skirt.

The only thing that hadn't changed was the messy tie that casually slung around your shoulders, too tired to be knotted properly.

"Shirakumo-chan!" He smiled slightly, glad it was you and no one else.

"What're you doing, running at an ungodly hour?" You asked, chuckling lightly.

"Just needed to clear my head," Midoriya sighed, looking away.

You furrowed your eyebrows at the sight, trying to figure him out.

Midoriya Izuku was a person who found a reason to smile no matter how dire things got, and by doing so, made others' day much brighter as well.

But now, he wasn't smiling.

"What's wrong?" You asked, raising an eyebrow.

"It's about last night, my quirk activated on its own," he whispered, only to receive a slap to the back of his head.

"Didn't I tell you to be subtle?" You glared.

"But we're the only ones-" he began, though stopped talking as your glare deepened.

"It's a secret that not even the government knows. Legally, you're committing a crime," you explained. "So let's not flaunt that, shall we?"

The boy gulped and nodded, finally understanding the situation.

Both of you walked back inside, making small talk about the Kyushu incident from two days ago and general hero standings.

"Shirakumo-chan, I looked at the hero news this morning and an article was released on you again," the boy began, fishing out his phone to show you the recently published paper.

"Hope it isn't anything bad," you joked, switching the topic. "Did you hear, Endeavour got released from the hospital. Todoroki went home for a visit with the family, a congratulation party."

Midoriya looked at you, eyes wide, already aware of what could potentially happen if the family was gathered in one spot.

Showing you his phone, he pulled up the article you'd been featured on.

Your brows furrowed instantly as you read the title, eyes widening with every sentence.

"So, if you can already legally be a hero, why are you at U.A?" Midoriya asked.

"I'm only legally one now because Eraserhead officially dismissed me as a sidekick yesterday," you sighed. "Both sidekicks and heroes have the same qualifications and have the same exams, sidekicks are usually just younger and a part time worker."

The boy took in your explanation, noting everything down mentally as you continued to read the article.

"A hero usually has an agency, but it's not a must," you continued, awing how the newspaper had gotten hold of even the most recent news. "And I'm at U.A so I can improve my skillset and renew my license. Sidekicks need them renewed every 5 years, heroes every 10."

You handed the phone back to the boy, still in shock at how the news stations already knew. Eraserhead was never one for publicity, and you hadn't had an interaction with the press since they last invaded your privacy.

The only way they could possibly know was by someone posting the news on HN, probably Present Mic or Midnight.

Sighing, you opened the door to the 1-A dorms, walking in with Midoriya.

Somehow it seemed that whenever the two of you, or three if and when Bakugo was involved, only chaos seemed to ensue.

Midoriya had a big secret, your life revolved around the press and public reputation, and Bakugo had a vendetta against every living and breathing thing.

Yet somehow, the three of you were the inspiration and backbone of Class A.

In a world of quirks and heroes, truly anything was possible.
