Endeavour was quick to leave the room, excusing himself and going somewhere else. That only left Fuyumi, Shoto and the three of you sitting at the dining table.

"Sorry for intruding when things were tense," you apologised, glaring at Bakugo, who only scoffed.

"No it's really no problem!" Fuyumi exclaimed, waving her hands in front of her. She calmed down quickly, an apologetic look on her face. "Really, it's our fault. We should've been mindful of guests and not caused a scene."

The three of you looked at each other, concerned for the girl. She tried her best to keep the family running, only to watch it fall apart in front of her every time.

"It's difficult feeling like you can't help," Bakugo mumbled, much to all of your surprises.

"Katsuki-kun, everything good?" You asked, concerned as soon as he gave his small piece of advice.

"Fucking fine Air Head," he grumbled, still not meeting your eyes. "I don't need your fucking pity."

You instantly stood up at that, both angry and confused. The instant after you confided in Midoriya and Bakugo, they began acting off. Why? What did you do?

"Listen Bakugo, I wasn't asking out of pity, I was asking as a friend," you seethed, ready to punch him. "Learn the fucking difference."

Scoffing, you sat back down, facing Fuyumi who was still looking down. Her younger brother sat by her side, his glance blank and solemn, refusing to meet your gaze.

"Yeah, it's difficult at times," she whispered, bangs covering her eyes. "I used to have an elder brother I could rely on, but he passed away. Being the eldest, and one who was also deemed a failure, really sucks y'know?"

Tears were sparkling in her eyes, though she still smiled as she looked up at you, refusing to admit defeat to her own emotions.

"Touya-nii," Shoto began, covering for his sister. "He was strong, a powerful quirk, he had everything. Ambition, willpower, and he wanted to surpass our father above everything."

"He- he took it too far," Fuyumi continued, tears rolling down her cheeks, ones that she quickly rubbed away. "Dad and Mom, they both told him to stop. He had a fragile body, something he inherited from Mom, and always came back home with burns."

Just the imagery made you feel pity for the family. The man who'd gotten into a quirk marriage, illegally at that, to create the perfect child only to put his family through so much. He'd lost a son, they'd lost a brother.

A young boy coming home each day, burns covering his arms, just so he could become a hero. His character reminded you scarily of Midoriya.

"Must've been scary seeing him hurt himself over and over again," you whispered sympathetically, resting your chin on your palm, continuing to observe Fuyumi.

The girl shook her head, much to your surprise.

"He wanted to be a hero and we always supported him, but he was closest to Natsuo. When Shoto was born, he was the perfect creation and Dad tossed Touya aside," Fuyumi continued, voice breaking. "It only fueled his ambition and he did anything to get Dad's approval. But he never got it."

This part of the story seemed new even to Shoto, considering there was a slight look of surprise on his face. Yet you weren't sure if he was surprised by the story his sister told or by the fact that she was on the verge of crying, something he'd probably never seen her do.

"Your brother was already hurting himself before so he could fulfil his ambitions, something no one could talk him out of," you analysed, raising an eyebrow. "It only got worse with Shoto-kun because he now had a rival for the legacy he should've inherited, probably making him feel worthless."
