You watched as your classmates trained, fighting each other and the props to improve their moves. It was amazing, really, seeing the growth of your classmates in the short time you'd been absent.

"You should've stayed," All Might sighed. "They needed you more than ever."

"Please," you scoffed. "They're Class 1-A, they can cope without me."

It was true as well, for since the war you were just a superior officer to the majority of them. Ever since the war, you were no longer obliged to attend U.A as a student like the others were, since you had already passed through a majority of your licensing and could be classified as a hero as soon as you recovered.

Due to this, an automatic distance was put inbetween you, one that wasn't easy to close. They watched as you made headlines and you watched as they trained to support the future of the country.

"Class 1-A has many golden eggs, you were one of them," All Might mused.

"They've grown a lot since you first saw them, didn't they?" You asked, to which he nodded.

"You have too, Cloud Nine," he added, the memories of your previous amateurish self in his mind.

While you had experience, you weren't professional or as much of a quick thinker as you were now, using your quirk recklessly and ineffectively.

Now, you learnt the importance of conserving your energy, saving your quirk for when you needed it most.

"Leading a war does that to you," you glared, leaning back in your wheelchair and crossing your arms and therefore signifying that the conversation was over and shouldn't be pushed further.

Thankfully, All Might caught on and kept quiet, watching the students train alongside each other for the first time in seemingly forever.

After a quick lunch, they were all back in the hall, more energised than ever as your classmates tested their moves on each other.

Once their training session was done, you all returned to the dorms for dinner. Volunteering to make it, you headed off into the kitchen, only to be stopped as soon as you remembered it was rather difficult with the cupboards higher up.

"I'll handle it," Bakugo scoffed. "Don't need your help."

You pursed your lips but nodded in response, leaving the area and heading to the common room where your class was discussing strategy.

"All for One is weak and Gigantomachia is sedated, making Shigaraki an even easier target," Mineta though aloud. "This fight should be easy for us!"

'Hey, it's just a short time, I'll be back! Easy breezy, I promise,' you smiled, the morning you left Mei.

"There's three reasons why you're wrong," you sighed. "Firstly, the heroes were only able to track down the research facilities, never AfO himself. We can't do anything by damaging his research, it could be groundbreaking. But we don't know how to use it without the hide and seek master himself."

"Secondly," Momo began, setting down a cup of tea for you. "Shigaraki was incomplete in the first war, and we had all our heroes. Now neither is true."

"And lastly," you continued, taking a sip of your tea. "I've forbidden our troops from making the first move. So if anything happens, they'll be the ones to do it. In that time, we rebuild."

"Isn't that extremely risky, to not make the first move?" Mineta asked, though you shook your head in response.

"The Front is large as it is, even without roughly half of its weakest soldiers," you sighed. "That's already a bigger troop than all our heroes combined, and many of them are only retiring. I've forbidden a first move unless it's undercover or truly to our benefit. We can't risk more deaths."

"Either way, we need to try and control how we enter battle, so I'll join the search soon," Midoriya informed you as Bakugo came in with the dinner.

"We, not I, shitty nerd," he glared as he scooped everyone a helping.

"Right sorry!" He squeaked. "But I'm going for a walk quickly before dinner."

The class nodded in response, telling him to stay safe as many of you began eating. You sat next to Todoroki, with Kirishima, Bakugo and Kaminari perpendicular to you on the couch.

It was peaceful, quiet chatter being passed around, until you looked up briefly to meet Kaminari's eyes only for him to land in a choking fit.

Your eyes instantly widened as you reached out to pat his back, only to retract it as Todoroki stood up to do so while Bakugo glared at you.

Only then did you notice how much paler Kaminari had gotten and how thin he looked, his usually bright hair hanging lifelessly around his cheeks, the mischievous glint in his eyes long gone.

It didn't take long to put two and two together, and you instantly looked back down at your own bowl of noodles, tears pricking at your eyes as you realised that Kaminari was hurting himself for something he could never control to begin with.

'Because I help anyone I care about, even if it takes the life outta me.'

He knew he couldn't have saved you, no matter how much he wished he could. And he blamed himself for it to the point where his entire character had diminished.

'All you heroes do is cause other people pain!' Toga screamed. 'Have you for once thought about the fact that we're humans too? That maybe we care about our friends that you ruthlessly murder?'

"Sorry," Yaoyorozu smiled as soon as you finished dinner and entered the kitchen. "I told them to tone it down, especially after Midoriya-kun warned us that he holds grudges against those that hurt his friends."

The ring was still on your finger, the chain of it in shreds after she'd cut it off. It was a final attempt to salvage a permanent reminder to your promise to Mei, one that you'd set out to keep.

It was obvious that she spoke about Bakugo, considering he was the only one who'd glared at you throughout the entirety of dinner.

'Trust me when I say I have,' you glared. 'But I am the only one willing to give you a shot, so don't mess it up, Toga Himiko.'

"It's alright Yaoyorozu-chan," you responded, trying to be as casual about it as you put on the facade. "I would be too."

'We'll fix injustice and work together!'

However, at this stage in the war, where you couldn't fight and were only useful in strategy, you highly doubted that she even needed the reassurance of your survival anymore.

'Please,' Mei begged. 'Stay alive.'

For it was granted that you wouldn't die because of the war, whether fake or real.

'Don't worry about me!' You smiled, a bright grin on your face.

"Are you sure I should stay out of it?" She asked, to which you just nodded. For that was perhaps the most noticeable trait you shared with your brother.

'Don't worry about it Shota!'

You hated others worrying about you and you would do anything to stop them from doing so.

No matter the cost.
