Endeavour was quick to take to the air, Flashfire keeping him aloft. He soon saw you and realised that you were also searching for Shigaraki.

"Yeah but these clouds are blocking our view," Midoriya huffed, turning to you.

"I can't diffuse anything that I haven't created," you sighed.

'Look, look!' You grinned, pointing at a cloud in the sky.

You were six, a first grader, with Hatsume standing next to you.

'What's so cool about it?' She asked, unamused.

'I bet I can control it!' You grinned, pointing at it, swishing your hand in an attempt to make it move.

It didn't work.

However, that was in the early stages of your quirk. Now, you'd be able to control it with less damage and possibly even stop it from hurting others.

"I'll try, go ahead," you mumbled, flying up, though before you could do anything, Shigaraki landed in a secluded spot.

Endeavour instantly sent a blast of fire which was accompanied by deathly lightning you sent his way, both of which narrowly missed.

"Head southwest!" Endeavour yelled at you, as the three of you jumped past him.

"What are you, a satnav?" Bakugo yelled, following you.

Shigaraki Tomura was a formidable foe even before he'd inherited All for One. The man was almost untouchable since he could decay everything he could lay his hands on, making your chance of victory very slim.

Now, he had his hands on multiple quirks as well as his own, each of which could cause more damage than any quirk in the hero troops could.

You grit your teeth as you upped your wind range, decreasing the power of it so that you could float higher as it was spread out across your glider.

Next to you, Midoriya and Bakugo did the same, conserving their quirks so that they could do their best in the final battle.

You watched, unable to do anything as Shigaraki lay his hands on Midoriya's face, maniacal grin playing at his lips.

Bakugo had suffered a similar fate mere seconds ago and lay scattered across the battlefield as ash.

Now, the remaining dust of Midoriya scattered through the wind, flying through your hair as it separated thoroughly.

One for All was his.

"We might die," you warned, reminding them what they were getting themselves into.

"Well I'm tired of losing like this, tired of running away," Midoriya spat out, the idea still fresh in your minds.

It was a mere hallucination of your paranoia, your mind playing tricks on you. However, you were well aware that it would be the end result if you weren't fast enough on your feet.

"Stay safe, think fast," you sighed, looking towards Bakugo, who merely nodded.

It was a mutual agreement between the two of you that you'd protect Midoriya no matter what. He was your competitor and friend, a vessel that was important to future generations.

He was also reckless, often acted without thinking no matter how smart he was or how deadly the situation was.

Bakugo was the opposite.

He thought before acting, planning out every move and different outcomes before choosing the one with the least damage. Unlike you, he didn't worry too much, but he planned ahead.

The vessel needed a voice of reason, that had been the pattern in every file you'd seen so far.

Shimura Nana had Gran Torino, All Might had Nighteye, and now Midoriya would have Bakugo and you.

But one always died.

Nana, then Nighteye, and now?

You pursed your lips as you realised the fate either Bakugo or you would endure. He was aware of it as well as he followed you, a frown etched onto his face.

One would die and the other would live the consequence. Twin minds built to be ripped apart and reunited, over and over again.

You sighed, flying ahead next to Midoriya.

"Stay alive, you're the key to this," you reminded. "If he gets your quirk, we're screwed."

Midoriya's eyes widened as he realised the weightage of the situation.

"Yeah," he whispered. "I can't die."

He lived a cursed life where he had to live for the safety of himself and all those around him, only to watch everyone he loved die because they sacrificed their lives for him.

Worst of all, they sacrificed their lives for something they didn't even know about.

Your thought was cut off with a sudden sharp pain in your ears as you grasped them, a loud ringing sound coming from them.

"Cloud Nine!" Midoriya gasped, grabbing your arm before your quirk could deactivate, which would cause you to plummet.

"The comms," you choked out, pulling yours out.

It was covered in blood as it had burst your eardrum, a quirk sending frequencies high enough to disturb communications.

Midoriya glared, pulling his out as well and pocketing it.

Communicators were now useless.

You pressed a hand to your ear as Midoriya carried you, trying to stop the bleeding in your right side.

It was only a brief jam, but since all the communicators were linked to one central com, that user received the most backlash. In this case, it was you.

"You can still hear me right?" Midoriya asked, concerned.

His voice was muffled, as if he spoke to you from outside a swimming pool whilst you were completely submerged. Thankfully, that was only on your right ear.

Your left ear could hear fine, though it was pressed against his chest as he carried you, not giving you much of an opportunity to test it.

You nodded in response, taking out a small piece of cotton from your first aid kit.

"I can hear well, but only in one ear," you explained shortly as you dabbed at your injured ear. "I guess I'll loose hearing in this one but that was my stupidity, planning it that way."

"You couldn't have known," Midoriya reminded you.

"I guess," you mumbled, preparing your glider once more. "You can let me go now, thanks Deku-kun."

The boy nodded, letting you go.

You quickly recovered, flying up next to him.

Whilst most couldn't fly soon after they burst an eardrum, you'd trained to fly in pressure changes due to it being a major part of your quirk.

Not only that, you'd also disinfected and put in a small bit of cotton in your right ear, so that wind and debris wouldn't be too much of a disturbance.

However, your advance was quickly stopped by someone grabbing your two friends and pulling them back.

"Advance!" He yelled, to which you followed as you recognised who it was.

You nodded at Gran Torino before whizzing off yourself, hoping you'd survive.
