You sat at the common room table, filtering through the tonnes of papers as you annotated all the pros and cons for every agency who'd scouted you.

Meanwhile, Bakugo and Todoroki were attending an interview for the villain they defeated the other day. The press originally wanted you to join as well, though you declined, mentioning that you weren't even present.

The questions asked made the reporters seem like they were begging for suicide. Asking Bakugo if he was friends with Todoroki? Big mistake.

"Keep it down would you?" You grumbled, watching Bakugo yell for the 5th time in the past few minutes.

"What the hell are you gonna do about it?" He yelled in response.

You scoffed and sent a cloud his way, stuffing it in his mouth and restraining it there with strong gusts of wind.

"Thanks Katsuki-kun, you're such a sweetheart, listening to what I say," you mumbled ironically, voice coated with sugary sweetness to tease the boy.

The interviewers sweat dropped, though continued to interview Todoroki who politely answered all the questions while you worked.

You finally came to the conclusion of working under Endeavour. He was the number one hero, if he didn't already know about Hawks he would find out soon. Since you already knew, you could give him some information while learning yourself.

While you hated the man for everything he did to Todoroki and his family, you were well aware that he was a good hero. What you needed right now was to learn how to be a better and more independent hero.

You sighed, watching as Bakugo and Todoroki finished the interview, causing the press to scamper over to you next.

"Can I help you?" You asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Yes, are you free for an interview now?" A man asked, one who had never interviewed you so far.

"Uh sorry, I'm busy now with school work," you declined, getting up from the table. You released your quirk on Bakugo as well, causing him to go feral on the reporters, effectively terrifying them.

"I was genuinely scared for Kacchan and Todoroki-San, I thought the interview would flop," Midoriya sighed as you walked over to him.

"They're full of surprises I'll tell you that much," you groaned, massaging your temples. "Did you find a hero to work with?"

The boy looked down, an unreadable expression stained across his face. He still blamed himself for Nighteye's death, now with the new work studies, it felt like he was betraying his mentor somehow by choosing a new one.

"Hey, relax," you smiled, putting your hand on his shoulder to drag him out of his thoughts. "Don't rush it if you're not ready, take your time. I just asked because I know you need to pick a new one, especially because they're compulsory this time."

"Thanks Y/N-San," he mumbled, sighing as he rethought his decision.

"Anytime," you smiled at him, glad he was calmer now.

It was past evening now, with the only things you had to do was eat dinner and sleep. But in class 1-A, sleeping isn't part of the schedule.

Instead, bullying each other became a hobby.

"Katsuki-kun, you making dinner?" You asked, lying on top of him.

"Learn to cook for yourselves," he grumbled, flipping a page in the manga.

You smirked at Denki, who sat opposite you, who easily caught drift of your plan.

"Cool, I'm making it then," the blonde grinned, waltzing over to the kitchen with Mina and Kirishima.

"Fuck no, you'll burn it down if I let you touch shit in here. Get out, this is my territory," he scolded, dragging the trio out, all while you clung on to his back like a koala.

Time slowly went on in such a manner and before long it was the next day, as all of you sat around each other's desks talking about the latest hero news.

"Y/N-San why weren't you at Deika yesterday?" Midoriya asked, confused.

"Mirko told me to step back so that I didn't get hurt, but I was up all night making phone calls to various precincts and offices to get things sorted," you sighed, still having a headache from last night's chaos.

"Everything's starting to change since Endeavour debuted as number 1," Uraraka mumbled.

"If you ask me, this only seems like the tip of the iceberg. The league clearly has an objective, it's just a matter of time until we find out what it is," Bakugo pointed out, much to everyone's surprise.

Just then, Mt. Lady and Midnight walked in with Aizawa, ready to start a special lesson.

"Interviews!" The two squealed as everyone stood outside in their costumes.

"In yesterday's interview Bakugo's part was completely cut out due to behaviour. We don't want that happening to you so we'll do interview training!" Midnight explained, excited as ever.

"Shirakumo Y/N?" Mt. Lady asked, looking up from her clipboard. "You're up."

You sighed, breathing in and out to release tension. It was true you were experienced, but that didn't make you any less nervous. Usually, however, you could easily scan the situation and figure out what type of interview it would be.

"Alrighty, pretend you just defeated a villain!" Mt. Lady grinned.

You raised an eyebrow, sceptical, though shrugged and nodded.

"So, Cloud Nine, what's your take on today's villain case?" Midnight asked you.

"It was alright, I'm glad I managed to capture them and protect as many civilians as possible," you explained shortly, improvising.

"That's good to hear, what's your goal as a hero?" Mt. Lady asked.

You thought about it, remembering all the cases you'd worked on to try and find a pattern.

Why did you want to become a hero?

Originally it was to prove to your guardian that you could fight for yourself, yet you could've stayed a sidekick. You then followed the hero path because your best friend took it as well, bubbling with excitement as the thought of defeating villains excited him.

However, you eventually got into the gig.

You'd made Eri happy, given her a home, given her hope of a wisp of childhood. Your girlfriend was happier than ever by your side, excitedly listening to all your stories, eyes sparkling as she thought of ways to help you on your next case even more. Your friends came back to hug you after every big incident, glad that you'd all survived again.

Remembering everything, you came to a quick and sweet conclusion.

You looked up, subconsciously looking at your best friend as you responded, "I want to make as many people happy as possible, and I'm willing to do anything it takes to achieve that goal."

Looking back at the camera, you noticed both teachers smiling, glad that you'd come to a conclusion.

"You'll make a fine hero, and I hope I live long enough to see you make it into the big leagues, Cloud Nine," Midnight grinned, to which you only smiled softly and nodded, stepping down from the podium as your interview finished.
