You sat in the conference room, seemingly for the hundredth time that week. Most war councils happened in Endeavour's agency, but this one happened in a tent right outside Deika City.

The heroes had set camp.

Eraserhead, Manual and Rock Lock rushed in your direction, Manual steadily keeping Eraserhead's eyes lubricated.

'This is the real deal,' you sighed, standing at the head of the table. 'We charge tomorrow morning.'

The morning lasted too long. It wasn't supposed to be like this, you were supposed to get it done with quickly.

But no, the same way you fought for everything you believed in, the villains did as well. They also had conviction.

You all stood, breathing ragged, covered in torn clothes matted with blood and sweat.

'This'll be the longest morning,' Rock Lock reminded you. 'We need to play our cards right.'

"What did you say about heroes?" Gran Torino fumed.

You'd rarely seen him angry, he had always been calm. But you knew all too well that even the calmest people could snap.

"I think you heroes are fakes, people that only pay attention to the obvious," Shigaraki hissed. "How many times have you turned a blind eye to the filth of society, sweeping it under the rug?"

You sat crying in your living room, fear getting to you as you tried shaking your mother awake.

No response.

'Mama!' You screamed, hoping something would stir in her.

Nothing did.

"That rotten feeling accumulates over time, revenge bubbling underneath," he snarled. "Destruction is only a result of the recklessness of modern day hero society."

'Y/N dear, you must remember to be less reckless,' your mother sighed, cleaning the scrapes on your knees.

Little did you know that she cried that night.

She'd lost one child to recklessness, the other looked like it was going to follow suit.

After all, they both had the same grin.

"The filth always gets cast out, so we're retaliating," Shigaraki ranted. "The dichotomy of Heroes and Villains, something you're incapable of understanding."

Endeavour wasn't having any of it and instantly sent a blast of fire his way.

"Your monologue gave me enough time to cool down," Endeavour remarked sarcastically. "What troops were you stalling for?"

Though to his surprise, Shigaraki dodged the burst of flames with ease.

Gran Torino however, didn't let go as easily as the two of you did. He tackled the boy to the ground, glancing over at Endeavour briefly.

Just a boy.

You couldn't help but gasp quietly as you realised that, rushing in as well. No matter how many times he'd hurt you, you had to agree with some of his points.

The hero society was flawed, only proving a benefit to those at the top of the hierarchy.

Anyone below was left to wither and die.

Nothing excused his actions, but perhaps if you could just reach him things could improve.

Shigaraki grabbed Gran Torino's leg, disintegrating it as he slammed him into the ground.
