The girl's golden eyes scanned your face, looking for even the smallest hint of deceit. Though when she saw nothing other than your dazzling, innocent smile, she wrapped her arms around your neck and leaned in to you.

You pulled away from the short kiss and looked at her, eyes sparkling.

"Is that a yes?" You asked gently.

"No," she scoffed, smirking at you. "It was a you didn't even have to ask."

Grinning brightly at that, you pulled her into a hug, fiddling with her hair slightly.

"I missed you," she mumbled into your shoulder, eyes already tearing up as she remembered the distance from you.

It was a lot for both of you to handle. The cheating scandal, not talking to each other, multiple arguments after another without even giving the other time to talk, rumours, the press, everything.

Thankfully, your friends had sorted the mess out into a better state.

You, simply fitted in the last puzzle piece.

"Sorry," you breathed out, merely exhausted by remembering it all.

"Eh we both fucked up," Hatsume giggled, dragging you onto her bed. "Now we can forget about it and cuddle!"

"Yeah," you laughed at her proposal. "I gotta go to see Aizawa later, want to nap until then?"

Though instead of receiving an answer, you heard soft snores coming from the girl snuggled into your shoulder.

You smiled at her, trying to pull the blanket over the two of you without waking her up.

"Yeah, I missed this," you whispered, kissing her forehead as you snuggled into her and fell fast asleep.

A mere hour later, you were awakened by a phone call. Eyes widening instantly as you saw the caller ID, you snuck out of Mei's tight embrace on you and went out to the balcony.

"What," you responded instantly, an evidently angry tone present in your voice.

"Hey, calm down a bit," the other person responded teasingly. "Anyways, I need you to meet up with me somewhere. I'll send coordinates."

The man hung up on you as soon as he said so, though sent his location as promised.

Suddenly, you felt two arms wrap around your waist, along with a small weight on your shoulder.

"Are you leaving?" She asked gently, still half asleep.

"Yeah, I've got an emergency to attend to," you sighed, not fancying the idea of meeting up with Hawks on a day like this, but still having to.

The girl nodded and pressed a kiss onto your cheek, before heading back into her room.

You headed back to your dorm, quickly changing and shooting Aizawa a text that you'd be delayed to meet up with him. Once you were changed, you rushed out in the direction of the location.

One impractical thing about your costume, which you only realised while running on this shift, was that none of your costume pieces provided a fast travel method.

Your fans were used to slice into things, using their metal tips, and your staff was used to spread large amounts of air. The clouds you used were slow travelling, and you couldn't use too much wind before your cases otherwise your hands would bleed everywhere.

An idea did strike your head though.

Perching atop a soft cloud in the sky, you pulled your staff out and attached it to the back of the cloud, so it would keep spinning and moving you in your travel direction at high speeds.
