The matches were all over, with team 5 winning a perfect victory of 5-0. Class A had led all the opponents into 1v1 battles and conquered them at their weakest, giving your class one last win.
Your friends walked out, exhausted and sighing in relief as they were unscathed and cheering their victory.
Aizawa focused on Shinso, giving him his feedback first, while you instantly ran up to Midoriya and hugged him.
"You scared me jackass," you mumbled.
"You're not the only one there, trust me," he sweat dropped, ruffling your hair.
Meanwhile, Uraraka watched from the sidelines as the two of you talked.
The girl got jealous easily, you knew that, but you never knew that she was jealous of yours and Mei's closeness with him.
(Istg it's a universal thing at this point, all my LGBTQ+ girl friends have at least one straight guy friend. Including me)
Though she wasn't the only one watching you intensely.
Both Kaminari and Bakugo were observing the interaction, eyes piercing into your skulls like a hawk.
One watched as you wrapped your arms around the neck of his rival, while the other watched how you got over him so quickly and easily got a new best friend.
You weren't aware of either as you continued to talk to Midoriya and Uraraka, asking them about the battle.
"Sorry I lost control midway," Midoriya apologised to the girl, remembering the incident. "And thanks for helping me."
"Oi, Glowstick Bones," a cold, deep voice called. The three of you turned to see Shinso, who seemed to want to say something. "She saved you because you're her friend. Seeing friends in danger is annoying you know?"
"My name's Midoriya!" The greenette defended, after hearing the nickname for him.
"Think I'll stick with Glowstick Bones, thanks," he scoffed, annoyed Midoriya didn't get the point of his kind words.
Eraserhead interrupted your conversation, by moving his focus from Class B back to Class A.
The man looked livid to the point where you were worried for Midoriya's life itself.
"What in the hell was that?" He scolded, knowing well that attempting anything new mid battle was a major cause of death and injury.
He'd lived the experience himself.
"Calm down," you pulled him back, trying to stop your teacher from killing your friend. "He'll train the quirk, right?"
You glanced at Midoriya as you said that, still holding your mentor and friend back from committing a murder.
He nodded, terrified by the sight in front of him, though did anything to satisfy the conditions.
Eraserhead calmed down, though he was still evidently both angry and concerned for the children.
You'd promised him long ago that he wouldn't relive the loss of losing a best friend due to a hero accident once more.
Now you were in the hero field yourself, trying to keep yourself alive so as to not hurt him more.
What made it worse was that he'd die for the Class A students, but God forbid they got a single scratch.
Aizawa Shota was a protective man who knew everyone's worth and potential.
When he took you in after your brother died, he could only see the remnants of his bright grin in your childlike giggles and euphoric laughter.
But it was also easy to forget that Aizawa Shota was a broken man.
