The battlefield was a rundown mess of blood and grime, heroes fighting one enemy with no real plan.

All that you knew was that he possessed the ability to potentially destroy you with the flick of a finger. So you went all out.

For the future you wanted.

But most of all, for Mei.

"Endeavour-San, get up!" You yelled, patting the older man's face for a sign of consciousness. "Please don't make me do mouth to mouth."

"Stop complaining, I'm up," he groaned. "Feels like a fucking fever dream."

Your eyes softened instantly, the feral edge in them dissipating as your colleague showed signs of revival.

"Get up, we almost died," you explained shortly, pulling him up.

Endeavour suddenly gasped, preparing a powerful blast and aiming it at a scene behind you. Your two friends ferociously fought the villain, allowing Endeavour the opportunity to land a strike and protect the two for just a bit longer.

He released the fire, allowing the duo to escape as he engaged in battle.

"Where's Shoto?" He yelled, passing by them.

"It's only us two, he's at the evacuation site," Midoriya yelled in response.

"You two," Shigaraki grinned. "You still have a lot of fight in you."

You'd never admit it, but you were scared. Fear ventured down your bones, creating shivers down your spine, just like blood travelled through your veins.

You were a sixteen year old girl who'd been thrown into the real world all too soon. Worst of all, any deaths would be your fault.

You grit your teeth at the thought.

You placed your hands together, connecting all fingers in an upside down V. A move inspired through both Kaminari and Uraraka, something that could wreak all hell.

Clouds began covering the area while your colleagues commented on the strengths of both you and Shigaraki.

A man who was on par with All Might, and even stronger intelligence wise, had set to conquer the country. With his wide array of quirks, victory was almost a granted.

"Be prepared to fight in rain!" You yelled, to which everyone nodded, shifting to some sort of protective gear.

Shigaraki's target was Eraserhead and Midoriya, two people you couldn't allow him to get to no matter what. Eraserhead was well protected in the centre, your friend was the exposed one.

Shigaraki lunged forward at Midoriya, grabbing at his face.

"Give me your quirk, little brother," he hissed.

You were quick to jump in as both were in shock, taking it as an opportunity to slow his regeneration down.

"Hell Spider!" Endeavour growled as you struck Shigaraki with lightning.

"White Flash," you whispered, making your way over to him. "It's my least dangerous one."

You grabbed his jaw and looked him dead in the eye, remnants of the man who'd tortured your best friend still visible in his hooded eyes. Though they were overshadowed by a more powerful presence.

"After all, I want you alive for when I get all the information out of you," you hissed, clenching your fist. "All for One."

Shigaraki's eyes widened as you punched him in the nose, causing him to stumble backwards.

Shigaraki clutched his nose in pain, tears pricking at his eyes. However, what surprised you the most was that he began laughing moments after.

"You think I'm like him, how cute," he cooed. "I'm Shigaraki Tomura and I'll be the strongest villain because of my will. I'll be greater than he ever was."

Suddenly, a flash of yellow whizzed past you.

"Do not trample on the heart of Shimura Nana!" Gran Torino yelled, kicking Shigaraki in the face.

"... who?" Shigaraki asked, confused.

"Gran Torino what does she have to do with this?" You yelled, frustrated.

With your momentary distraction, Shigaraki sped past you in Midoriya's direction. Just as worry was about to overcome you, Katsuki stepped in front, explosion at the ready.

"He's nice bait, isn't he?" He smirked, setting off the explosion.

Endeavour joined, striking Shigaraki square in the chest with a new move called Vanishing Fist, prompting you to do the same.

Shigaraki finally gave in to the attacks and fell over, strength having left him. He lay on the ground, glaring up at Endeavour.

"No matter how much power we have, we heroes will never yield to destruction without conviction," Endeavour coughed out, blood trickling down his chin.

"Endeavour-San!" You gasped, rushing to his side, worried that he'd burnt his lung through overuse.

"You heroes think you're all that, but you aren't," Shigaraki spat out. "You hurt your families to help others, that's what Father said."

Your eyes widened, tears welling up in them as you were reminded once more of the home you'd left.

'N/N-chan, where are you going?' Eri asked you the morning of the war.

It had only been today, yet it seemed so far away.

'I have hero work,' you smiled. 'I'm going to save a few people and be right back, just like always.'

Asking a person where they were going right before they left was considered bad luck. It was said that they would experience something unpleasant at their destination.

You were never one to believe in superstitions, but you thought it a funny coincidence.

'Come back home,' Mei sighed, clasping your hands. 'Stay safe.'

She'd given you a pocket knife as well, should you need it in either an emergency combat or for resources.

'Yeah,' you smiled, pulling her into a hug. 'I love you.'

The last words you'd told her, the last time she might ever hear them from you.

'Are you and Mr. Zawa ok now?' Eri asked.

'Yup!' You smiled, ruffling her hair. 'I need to get to work now Eri, remember I'll always love you.'

The first and last time she'd ever hear that from you as well.

"If that's what conviction is, then yes," Endeavour sighed.

You punched him straight in the jaw.

"You think we want a war?" You spat out. "We have family, we want to survive for them. And I pity you for thinking that the only thing we did was hurt the ones we loved."

Shigaraki's eyes widened ever so slightly at your declaration, though they relaxed almost instantly.

It was true, everyone with family wanted to survive for them, and see another day with their spouse and kids.

But you were an orphan.

A/N: be prepared, the death's either next chapter or in another 20, you never know with me
