"Why were we called here-" you began asking, only to be met with the fearful eyes of an entire family as soon as you entered the room. "I see."
"He received the quirk 10 years ago from All for One, but was previously quirkless," Tsukauchi informed. "So far, the scans don't show that he's expected to explode like Nagant did."
"Please, exit the room," Nezu asked your class, though none of you did so.
"You're kidding right, we fought a war all because of some mole, lost it because of some mole, and you just want us to leave?" You seethed. "We lost our strongest men!"
"Y/N please," Nezu sighed, putting a hand up.
"No, what do you think he would've done if Hagakure-San hadn't found out?" You argued, turning to Aoyama himself. "You sold us out, all while pretending to fight alongside us!"
"Please, it was our fault!" The father pleaded, on the verge of tears.
"It's gotta be another nightmare we can't loose someone else," Kirishima muttered from next to you, though you ignored it.
"Another one of us was quirkless," Bakugo sighed. "Small world."
You instantly turned to him, confused as to why Bakugo of all people hadn't shown any signs of an obvious grudge. After Kamino, he seemed ready to kill anyone and avenge All Might just to prove his worth.
But he kept his cool.
It was a trait in him you'd seen for possibly the first time, one so unlike him it reminded you of Kaminari, who was as lifeless and emotionless as a robot.
Why were both of them near polar opposites of themselves?
"Mrs. Aoyama, Mr. Aoyama," Tsukauchi continued, turning to the family. "Do you know anything else about the villain?"
"No, we swear!" The father instantly admitted. "We only carried out orders and would get killed if we failed, disobeyed, or died!"
"How did you know that you would've died? He could've been bluffing," you asked, trying to weed out more information from him.
"It was terrible, a civilian who tried to escape..... bloody and bruised, dismembered, just as a showpiece in the cellar," he choked out, seemingly nearing a state of panic as he envisioned the details of the memory. "It was only us, Yuga had no idea!"
"Everyone could've died because of me, yet I still had the nerve to smile amidst you as friends," Aoyama sobbed out. "And then I saw Midoriya, a fellow quirkless person, trying so hard to defeat All for One and it made me realise how pathetic I was. A villain through and through."
"A person once told me that even villains can be seen as heroes if you take a look from another perspective," you began, the boy wincing as you called him a villain. "We saw you as a fellow hero, someone we could trust. Yet you had the audacity to not only betray us but also mourn the fallen heroes with us as if you couldn't have stopped or even slowed it?"
The blonde looked down in despair, tears streaming down his cheeks, only angering you further as you remembered the faces of the hundreds of heroes who'd lost their lives due to a war that still wasn't over.
"Y/N," Midoriya glared, stopping you from speaking any further. "He tried to save Kacchan and Tokoyami-kun back at the training camp, remember?"
Your eyes widened as you realised what Midoriya was trying to say.
"Why did you do it? And the cheese message, that was a cry for help wasn't it? That's why you're crying now!" Midoriya rambled, walking closer to Aoyama. "I know - knew - a hero who was also manipulated by All for One, and her soul was never crushed, just her spirit. Doing wrong doesn't make you a villain for the rest of your life!"
