"OK. To prevent you guys' ego from flattening, we'll count, alright? And since YOU suggested this, Colby, you go first." Ashley said as everyone was gathered at the Beach where Colby, Eddie and Steven were about to have a lifting contest using an old weight set.
"Alright. Rules are simple: The one who does the most clean lifts wins. And like Ashley said: I'll go first." Colby said as he leaned back on the weight set and gripped the bar as Delsin spotted him.
"Ready son? GO!" He said as Colby began to lift as Ashely counted while everyone else looked on.
"Colby's really strong. But then again, he does MMA and always stays active, so no shock that he's physically fit like he is." Sadie said as Colby finished with 10 clean lifts.
"Alright. 10 for Colby. Which one of you wants to go next?" Delsin asked as Steven smiled.
"I'll go last. Go ahead, Eddie." He said as Garnet, Amethyst and Pearl giggled. They clearly knew something the others likely forgot about as Eddie took the bench while Malcolm spotted him.
"Alright. Ready son? GO!" Malcolm exclaimed as Eddie struggled a bit at first before getting a clean lift off, followed by a few more before he stopped.
"Eddie got 7. Colby's still got the lead. Unless Steven can beat Colby's score." Malcolm said as everyone looked at Steven as the hybrid sighed and smiled before taking the bench. But he suddenly got up and picked up a couple more of the weights to add a little more to the difficultly.
To those who didn't know him personally, you'd wonder what he was thinking. No way he could lift that much, right? Well....
"Whoa. Steven's added more weight? If he does this...." Ashely said Greg spotted Steven.
"Alright Steven. Ready? Go!" Greg exclaimed as Steven gripped the bars. And not only did he lift the weights, he lifted Greg along with them as he clean lifted one after another as everyone except the Gems were in utter shock.
"He beat Colby's score. He's now at 20. Freaking 21, 22, 23, 24, 25,26,27,28,29,30! Good grief, Steven, you won already!" Ashley exclaimed while laughing as Steven let a dizzy and dazed Greg down as the hybrid simply chuckled as everyone cheered.
"We REALLY got to put some kind of handicap on you in these contests, Stets." Colby said as everyone let out a playful groan and laugh.
"Oh stop being a sore loser, Colby." Amethyst said as Colby and Eddie both raised Steven's arms in victory as everyone cheered.
