"What could it be? I know something happned, but for the life of me, I can't remember what it is." Amethyst said to herself as she lazed around the Temple like she usually did. What else was there to do?
Lapis, Peridot and Bismuth were at Little Homeworld with Pearl, Ruby and Sapphire were celebrating their wedding anniversary and Steven was back home, but he hardly stayed at home because he was either on a date with Connie, at her house or on Homeworld with the Diamonds and Spinel.
"*sighs* What could it be? What could've happened that night with me and Greg? I've asked him and he always says it was just some dumb stuff that we did. But...it doesn't feel like it.." The Purple Gem said to herself as the warp pad went off and Steven appeared, holding an hourglass like object.
"Hey Amethyst. What's up?" The hybrid asked as Amethyst chuckled.
"Well if it isn't Mr-Come-And-Go-As-He-Damn-Well-Pleases." She said as Steven rolled his eyes.
"Aw come on. Wasn't it your idea for me to relax and do some things for myself?" He asked.
"Yeah. But I didn't think you'd listen! I miss ya, ya know! You don't even think about me now that you have a girlfriend and you're this big important person on Homeworld!" Amethyst exclaimed as Steven sighed and gave her a kiss on the cheek.
"You know that isn't true. I've just been busy, you know? I'll make it up to you, Amethyst. I promise." The hybrid replied as Amethyst chuckled.
"Aw don't get all serious on me, Steven. I was just messing with you. But I do miss you, though. But anyway: What's that? Looks a lot like the time glass we used to have." Amethyst said as Steven chuckled.
"That's because I got it from Homeworld. I looked at Mom's old stuff and she had a few of these lying around, so I just grabbed one for myself." Steven replied as Amethyst then got an idea.
"Hey. Mind if I borrow that for something? I'll bring it back, I promise." She asked as Steven looked a bit apprehensive. While he trusted Amethyst, he also knew how irresponsible she tended to be at times.
"I dunno. I trust you, Amethyst. But I also know how you are when it comes to Gem artifacts." The hybrid replied as Amethyst put a hand on her hip in disbelief at what she was hearing.
"What? Boy, I have been handling these Gem Artifacts since before you knew what they were. And besides: Need I remind you who destroyed the last time glass we had here?" She replied as Steven sighed and rolled his eyes.
"Fair point. Alright then. Here. I've got to go take care of something anyway. Try not to destroy the timeline." He replied as he handed the Time Glass to a chuckling Amethyst.
"Don't worry. I won't. At least not with a group of clones like some people." She replied as Steven was about to reply until he got a text from Pearl.
"I'll let that go for now. I'll see you later." He said as Amethyst blew him a kiss.
"Love you, Steven." She as Steven smiled and blushed before leaving. Amethyst then used the Time Glass to go back to the point of time she was wondering about eariler.
*In the past....*
"I'm in the Temple. This is where Greg and I talked that night." Amethyst said as she then Shapeshifted to avoid being seen as she saw Greg and the past verison of her speaking.
"What? What's an abortion?" Past Amethyst asked as Greg sighed.
"It's where they take the baby out of the pregnant mother through surgery. That way she isn't pregnant anymore." He replied as Amethyst(current) gasped.
"Oh no....now I remember what we talked about..." She said, trying to hold back her tears and her anger.
"But why would you do that? Rose seems to really want to do this." Her past self asked as Greg sighed.
"Look. Rose may be ready for a child, but I don't think I am. She wanted it more than me and I love her too much to just outright argue against it. But then again, I don't think I want to put the hassle on the doctors either, so it's a lose-lose for me. So we have to have the baby." Greg replied.
"But what happens to the baby after the abortion?" Past Amethyst asked as Greg looked at her.
"They die. It's as if they never existed to begin with. But Rose would hate me if I took this from her, so it's not an option. But don't tell her or the others about this, OK?" Greg said as Current Amethyst used the Time Glass to go back to the present.
*FLASH!*
"That...bastard....was going to have Steven aborted. Now I know why I blocked it out of my memories!" Amethyst snapped as tears of anger were in her eyes as Greg came in a moment later.
"Hey Amethyst. Is something wrong?" He asked as Amethyst glared at him before....
*POW!*
Pearl walked in a moment later with Steven and Garnet and saw the scene in front of them.
"Amethyst?!? What happened here?!?" Pearl exclaimed as Steven checked on his unconscious father as Amethyst said nothing and walked into her room to collect her thoughts.
Garnet soon did the same, but walked into her room with a smirk.
"Sorry Greg. But you had that one coming for years." She thought to herself.
