Sana POV
After we get our schedule, I and Jeongin split to our class. Clinching the piece of paper that held my destiny, I looked around for my classroom. My first class was English. I noticed the others were glancing my way and whispering. The 'new girl' has been thrown in a few times and its starting to get on my nerves. Could they smell fears? I hope they not. And where the hell is my classroom? My heart started to pound in my ears and my palms started to sweat. As I passed by the lockers a couple of guys whistled that making more heads turn to my way. Desperate attempt to get away from all the whispers and glances, I making a sharp right turn. And BAM!! I violently slumped into someone and lost my balance.
"Ouch!" I grunt as I feel the pain shot up my leg to my butt.
My face hurt too but mostly my pain in my butt. But, not pain as my wounded pride as I feel embarrassed. My belongings splayed around me while I was on the floor in pain. So much for getting over with the first day.
"Watch out where you're going!" A strong raspy voice barked from above me.
Wait! What's going? No apology? Shoot! This person is rude. I looked up to see the face of this rude person who didn't even offer a helping hand. Who's I'm kidding. She don't even apologise and I'm hoping for help? I couldn't make much out if his features, other than the dark hair and strong jawline because of the dark glasses she was wearing. Patient Sana patient. Try not to pick a fight in your first day Sana. I just sigh and collecting my stuff and standing up. Be cool Sana, be cool.
I was too busy trying to ditch all the glances and whispers that I didn't see her. Haa, speaking of whispers, is it just me or the hall became awfully quiet. Everyone seem shocked and nervous seeing me and this girl. My heart hitched for a second. I didn't dare to look anywhere else other than the girl in front of me. Lets think one problem at one time okay Sana. Let's settled this first.
Chaeyoung POV
"Faster aunt Jeongie. I'm late already." I said to my aunt.
Basically, she's the one who make me late. Well, not really late actually just I don't like being there when everyone else was there. Crowded place make me feel suffocated.
"Yahh! I'm you aunt, not your driver. And why don't you wake me up early? Jeez, this kid. I have breakfast meeting with my client you know." Aunt Jeongie said.
"Who told you to go to club last night? Serve you right then. You already know its weekday and not a weekend." I said to her.
"Aish, don't talk to me." She sulked on me.
As we arrived at my school, she just dropped me and just drove away as she is super late for her meeting. Not my fault though she's having to much fun last night. I just hope she's find someone who could tame her. I sigh as I knew I will face the others and I don't like it. I really don't like it to cross across anyone else. Finally, I reached the school and I make my move to my classroom and suddenly, BAM! Someone bumped into me. What the hell? Why do people not look where the hell they going? This is why I don't like being late and crowded place.
"Ouch!" I heard the voices.
I guess its a girl then. I was on my last string and this silence that downed the usual loud hum of the hall was pulling on that string.
"Mind your own business!" I said loudly.
Actually I said it to no one in particularly. It was enough to get the hum starting around me.
"I'm sorry." The soft voice brought my attention back to this dump situation.
"You were right. I was not looking where I was going. Hmm, I'm new here." She said.
She sound nervous though. I caught a smell of her perfume. Its smell something between floral and some sort fruit while waiting for the big finally. I never smell something like this. Its somehow make me feel calm. She's in deep new because I knew no one in this school have this scent. Yup, I knew everyone scent and I can even pointed who is who.
"Are you- oh my god! I'm so sorry! I didn't mean. I'm sorry." She said stumbled over her words.
I mentally roll my eyes in the spirit of sparing this naive 'new girl' and all the drama that will follow her apology. I interrupted and initiating to answer the question that will be asked.
"Yes! I'm blind! Thank you for noticing!" I said to her.
I took a deep breath trying my best not to snap.
"Now, I have confirmed that. So, you better get going." I said
I heard that recognition a lot. More times than I could remember and I just don't have any patience for that anymore. I don't want to be bothered. I just want for everyone to leave me fucking alone. Apparently, my words had their effect judging by the silence that followed.
"Well, thank you for sharing." The girl broken the silence.
"Good to know that so, that I will be careful next time." She continue as I sense there was no hint of apology or hesitation in her voice.
"Actually I was apologising for ruining your shirt." She added.
My shirt? What happen? I kept my features expressionless as I always do. Sense that I won't react or say anything she continue.
"Well, I accidentally stained your shirt with my lipstick. And I'm not really sure if the stain will come out or not." She explained.
Wow, she completely ignored my attempt to embarrass her. I just felt as someone just dumped a bucket of ice cold water over my head. Shoot! No one ever do that to me. I heard she shuffle.
"I really have to go now." She was talking fast now.
"If you want me to pay for the dry cleaning bill. Or.. hmm, buy you another shirt. I really don't mind." She said.
I just shaking my head refusing the offers. I just don't want to have any connection with her. Then, the bell blared over our heads forcing her to stop talking.
"Anyway, sorry about your shirt and for bumping into you. Catch you later." She said.
She walked past me, giving me another whiff of that perfume. I'm not gonna lied, her scent really make me calm. I didn't notice that the corridor has cleared until she walked away and there was no one there but me. I don't know what happened but I was completely taken off the guard. Something happened inside me but I'm not sure what it was. I ran my hand absentmindedly over my shirt where the impact happened like I could there where the stain was by touching it.
Taking a few steps, my foot landed on something. Keeping a light pressure over it to locate it easily. Well, a trick that I have learned with time and picked it up. I ran my fingers over the familiar object. It was a book with a pen. The pen thread with the fuzzy ball hooked at the end make it interesting. There was some sort of shape glued on that pen and the book that I couldn't make out. Its a same shaped. I usually don't pick a things off the floor yet this time, something possessed me to hold on to this one. I don't know why, but I'm sure this is belonging to her.
- its a new book guys and SACHAENG first encounter 🙈-
